  1. I would remove Henderson County from the 2nd and place them in the 3rd. Tale Meade County from the 3rd and place them in the 5th region.
  2. Saw Justin and his team play this weekend. He looked really good. his game has expanded and his agility has improved. Reece Gaines (Assistant Coach at EKU) was at both games.
  3. How does anyone that comprises this list miss Stewart Curry of Daviess County? He is not listed in the top 75, but he IS a top 20 player (conservatively speaking). He will be the pre-season POY candidate. Averaged a double double last season on a winning team, he is 6'7, very versatile, and will play baseball at UofL. I mean, really???
  4. Eli tweeted this, if it's any indication of his plans:
  5. Insightful question. If Eli departs for prep school, I think Ben and Trace will not be at Apollo either. All things considered, they (Apollo) underachieved in June and are looking in another direction. Hayden Shelton will be a good player. He's just not an impact player yet. Without a PG, he will not get a lot of opportunity to do what he does best - catch and shoot.
  6. Tony Hopper is a quality coach and competitor. He has his work cut out for him in the immediate future, though. I expect Stovall to fill the vacancy at Muhlenburg County. I believe his son will be a senior on the basketball team. If Stovall is hired, the third region may have more, or as many, state championship coaches than any other region in the state??? (Drake, Stovall, Riley)
  7. In all reality, this rule only applies to less than five percent of all of the boys basketball players in the state. This rule effects about 15-20 players statewide. John Lucas camp and the college "elite" camps are invitation only. It excludes the majority of basketball players that can go to camp. The rich get richer. With that said, it's still a dumb rule.
  8. Apollo did have their whole team. They are struggling internally. Don't see any signs of that changing. This event looks like it had an outstanding field.
  9. Best shoe collection in KY. Congrats to Coach Taylor!
  10. Apollo and Hoopdreams point guard Ben Moss picks up his first offer. Congratulations Lil Ben! That makes three returning Apollo players with D1 offers.
  11. I don't believe they redshirt anybody. They carried about 20 players last year from the looks of their website. I am sure that they will have a JV team.
  12. Michael Stafford from Louisville Trinity is going there, as well.
  13. Two teams going in two different directions at this point in the season. I am not real impressed with Male's talent. No one to create for the one's that can score. They play hard on defense, but Manual's defense into easy offense will be too much for the Dogs tonight. I think the 74-52 prediction is accurate.
  14. I think it's a communication issue. since team captains are the ones who communicate with referees from time to time (and teammates), there is probably a better communicator that is getting minutes too. Don't always have to assume the worst...
