2019-2022 Draft Football Realignment
wkufan1 replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Football (High School)
KHSAA is a joke as long as they continue to rotate districts in 6A. Have true region champions, quit protecting smaller schools in Louisville districts. Let District 1 and District 2 match up each year in playoffs and so on, like this past season. -
Just trying to give a solution, move Souhrhern down to 5A and let one of the West 5A play up. Alleviates a 6 team western district in 6A and odd districts in Lville area. Geography is messed up when Owensboro schools travel almost 3 hours to Paducah for a district game. Here is another point to ponder, do some schools petition to play closer to home with the Governor slashing transportation budgets by 60%? Interesting plot twist

If you start with the biggest and fix it first. You need a western KY 5A to play up and a Louisville 6A to drop to 5A. The western 5As may fight to see who can move up away from BG, OHS , South Warren and Christian Co. As will the Lville 6A to escape St X and T. 6A D1 McCracken Marshall Henderson Muhlenberg (Graves if they play up) District 2 Daviess Apollo Meade (Maybe a 5A who plays up, Ohio again, Grayson, Greenwood) or Muhlenberg if Graves plays up. District 3 North Hardin Central Hardin Bullitt E. Southern(or another lville 6A if one of these drops down to 5A maybe PRP District 4 Butler Manual Male St. X District 5 Trinity Ballard Eastern Brown District 6 Dixie Ryle Sk Campbell Co. District 7 Oldham Dunbar Henry Clay Bryan Stat. District 8 Lafayette Madison C. GRC Tates Creek Just a thought, I know there are a lot of holes but helps balance districts out. Shoot Away,

I see 6A as a winnable situation in the West if they quit rotating district and play for true Region championships. 6A potential district opponents are comparable to Apollo than 5A. Especially with BG is the same region. Mberg, Marshall should be wins for Apollo. Henderson, McCracken, Daviess, Meade, Central Hardin and North Hardin are tougher but winnable games some years. Bowling Green, South Warren, Christian are out of Apollo and much of Western Kys league, Graves, OHS, Greenwood are the same level as most 6A schools in the West. I'd stay in 6A if I were them, most likely they will make that decision after new coach is hired

2019-2022 Football Classification
wkufan1 replied to Shuttlesworth's topic in KY Football (High School)
I wonder if Ohio petitions to play up again, a district of Ohio, Daviess, Apollo and Meade could be plausible. Meade is 3rd region. 6A out West is a mess, then Mberg, Henderson, McCracken and Marshall. Put Hardin, Bullitt and 1 Louisville school in a district. Let The western teams play each other every year for a true region champion, quit rotating district junk in 6A. -
Interesting the lengths the khsaa will go to make sure T and X don't meet in the 1st round of playoffs. 6A should be like every other class and D1 vs. D2, D3 vs. D4, and so on. Would make things a lot less complicated.

What is the legality of OTA in this format, I thought this was shy teams quit going to camp because they couldn't do 11 v 11 activity. -
Should schools be required to report Statistics to the KHSAA
wkufan1 replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think it should be a requirement, as a coach be creative. I've heard of coaches who let the digital media class at their school do the stats every Monday. Great buy in and thinking outside the box. Very frustrating for those who take the time to do in-depth stats and submit them to see their opponent not do them or do them wrong. I.E QB and WR don't get a TD scored on a passing TD, the receiver gets it. One school kept boasting they has the leading scorer in the state bc he was getting TDs scored on every passing TD. -
Can Apollo "create" a position for the new coach or will they have to assume Coach Crumes teaching assignment? One would think that will determine the hire too

How does a sophomore lead the state with 1300+yds and 21TD's
wkufan1 replied to Railhew's topic in KY Football (High School)
Typically Louisville, Lexington and Northern Kentucky dominate these teams, Western Kentucky typically is ignored. Popularity contest is what it boils down too, unfortunately.
