  1. would have been interesting if this played out to be 6 - Scott Co 5 - Bryan Station 4 - Lex Cath all from the 11th.
  2. Cody Curtis is a good one for Montgomery Co. Tyler Combs - the coach's son - should also make a splash this year.
  3. Oliver Purnell at Clemson has brought that program out of the depths of the ACC and into a contender. Tough to do at a football school. Rick Byrd at Belmont - dollar for dollar the best coach in college IMHO.
  4. and you're from Maysville??? Barner wears his hair in dread locks. He was probably their 9th man this year behind Tolle, Hamm, and Pasawt off the bench. I would guess that by the end of the 2008-09 season the younger Setty and the stud Frosh PG will push for starting spots.
  5. Pawsatt is 6'4 Barner is 6'6 or 6'7 - long and athletic
  6. Sad, very sad. Any more details on this? Did he have heart problems?
  7. First of all, Congrats to Delph. He is a good player and I wish him the best in this endeavor. In other news, Happy Osborne no longer has to go to high school games to recruit, he will be spending his time waiting for the KY All-Stars who have walked on at UK to get tired of watching and want to actually play.
  8. WVU is now on a 19-4 run and came out of half time ready to play.
  9. An interesting game. It isn't the first time Xavier has faced Huggs... XU off to a great start, but WVU cuts it to 7 at the half. XU 32, WVU 25 I wonder what Huggins all time record is against Xavier.
  10. what a pass off the backboard - tough angle.
  11. Is it just me or is Jennings jumper as ugly as his haircut? They said he could score, but I'm seeing Jason Kidd...
  12. Will this be the last year the UK has no one playing in this game???
  13. The kid headed to Louisville looks like a beast.
  14. Hopson may want to keep attacking the rim...
  15. One of Scott Co's 32 wins in 2006-07 was over Luke Babbitt's team from Nevada. They played in the Beach Ball Classic. Babbitt is one smooth lefty.
  16. Hopson is representing himself and the Commonwealth well. This is the environment in which he shines. Get em Scotty.
  17. They don't need to have a separate dunk contest....
  18. C'mon Gold - take the bullseye. GRC is the favorite. Several others aren't far behind though.
  19. Glad to hear DT was in the house. I would think Arrez Henderson would be right up his alley. Landon Slone, Trevor Setty and Tyshawn Edmons will all be good enough to help win an OVC title down the road. They should have been standing in the middle of the road when Taylor Stewart visited anywhere out of state and the same for Jordan Smart. IMHO - KY kids who aren't ranked very high in their class are often overlooked. It's really nice to see Slaughter and Rogers playing so well for WKU and Knowles playing so well for UofL. I'm not talking about a team full, just a sprinkling.
  20. Stock Up Billy G and the boys from UK - pretty cool that they came to watch their future team mate a couple of times. Joe B - nice bottle Stock Down Other D1 in-state schools. I didn't see any coaches from EKU/Morehead/Murray in Rupp all weekend. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. My advice - Sprinkle a couple of KY boys in with the athletes from parts unknown and you might just have the right chemistry to win the OVC.
  21. Stock Down The bands. Where were the numbers? Scott Co.'s band last year took up most of the student section. This year I saw a band composed of only drums and xylophones one game.
  22. Thumbs Up: Sawyers - great burgers DeSha's - great pork chops BW3's - great Carribean Jerk sauce Hooters - who cares about the food Malones - great steaks Krispy Kream - but only when the HOT sign is on Thumbs Down: Concession Stands at Rupp - weak pizza and blah hot dogs... Yes, Plato does take requests:thumb:
  23. Tuning to a higher pitch means the string is tighter than it would normally be. I would think that would have an impact. Nice title. I was expecting a picture of some kind...
