Only 4-0 in the 5th. Villa ace left with some sort of wrist injury. Then the wheels fell off. Thing to keep in mind Villa only has 14 players and 9 are freshman. As for Dixie they look very very good. They hit the ball tonight and Smallwood of coarse was overpowering but looked very sharp. It is a stat building game but not becuase Dixie wanted it that way these 2 teams must play for seeding in the 34th district tournament.

Villa just explodes!! The 8th graders just finally clicked into gear. Great job for the Villa boys hanging in there in a year of growing pains.:dancingpa

2 of there 10 wins is against Villa, who is very weak this year. I believe there are some teams on their schedule that may be a little down this year. I still think they are a quality team.

Villa did have to withdraw due to not having enough players. What a great draw for Villa, to bad they could not take advantage of it. I know 2 seniors and a junior that have played in the program for years, told coach at the last second they were leaving for spring break. The players have seemed to left there coach hangin dry!:confused:

I think the game may be be closer then some expect. However Villa with just 14 kids and 6 of them 8th graders just does not have a lot to choose from. Coach Stamm has done a great job so far. I give Ludlow the advantage.

Nice wooden bat tournament today in the Jim Daughtery Tournament.
