  1. The good people at Snappy Tomato Pizza sponsor this classic BluegrassPreps.com contest. Each week the winner of the Snappy Contest will win a Snappy Tomato Pizza gift certificate redeemable at all Snappy Locations. You may substitute a BluegrassPreps.com T-Shirt or hat for your prize. Here is how the contest will work: 1. Pick four Snappy teams from the list below that you think will score the most total points this week. The winner is whoever picks the four teams with the most points when added together. Please no abbreviations. 2. The tiebreaker is to guess how many points the winning entry will have. 3. Call Snappy Tomato Pizza and have a pizza delievered to your house. Hint: Not all teams play every week so you will have to do your homework. The deadline for all entries is 5pm EDT THURSDAY Oct 11, 2007. Here are the Snappy teams to choose from: Atherton Ballard Beechwood Bellevue Boone County Bourbon County Bracken County Butler Campbell County Conner Corbin Covington Catholic Dayton DeSales Dixie Heights Doss Manual Eastern Fairdale Fern Creek Grant County Graves County Henry County Harrison County Highlands Holmes Holy Cross (Covington) Holy Cross (Louisville) Iroquois Jeffersontown Knox Central Lloyd Memorial Louisville Central Louisville Male Ludlow Lynn Camp Mason County Mayfield Moore Newport Newport Central Catholic North Laurel Owen County Paris Pendleton County Pleasure Ridge Park Ryle Saint Xavier Scott Scott County Seneca Shawnee Simon Kenton South Laurel Southern Trinity Valley Waggener Western Whitley County Williamsburg
  2. Manual has 2 mythical national championships so it is not the highest. And I think Male has been ranked 2nd at least once back in the 1920's.
  3. Under this system there will be some teams that have no business being in the playoffs, but under the old system there were times when teams that were pretty good got left out while in other districts only one or two teams even had a winning record. The biggest problem now is that we have to play in district. We already know how teams faired in district it would be like pairing SEC teams against themselves in the first rounds of the NCAA final four. If the point is to give more teams a chance at a playoff experience we need to have teams play teams from other districts, otherwise just take the top team from each district and we will have a champ by Thanksgiving.
  4. It is only for football. I don't make the rule, you asked and I am telling.
  5. Yes, they don't reschedule games because Louisville is playing, I wish they would but they don't. If the kids don't attend class then that school can host a game, but say they play a Catholic school that week or an out of county team then they can play on a night they did not attend school to play an away game but they can't host a game on a day they were out of school.
  6. No school on Friday, and there is a rule that Jefferson County teams can not host a game on a school day if they aren't in school that day.
  7. You are like the worst Manual fan ever!
  8. That is the first thing that they need to change IMHO. We were talking about this last night with PRP, we figure we are most likely going to see a rematch of St.X vs Butler and PRP vs Manual, how is that fun?? What is the point going to the playoffs only to face a team that crushed you/you crushed a couple weeks back, we should be playing teams in other districts IMHO.
  9. Manual was in control all night, but PRP does have a better team than the score would indicate.
  10. Probably, but it is fun if your team is mentioned.
  11. There are two games every year I always wonder about how our players will react. Male, and homecoming. For various reasons you never know if it will be a help or a distraction. I am not giving you an excuse or really answering this question because I was not there, and I don't know, but my impression from those that were there is that Shelby County was very good and that plus our own miscues made our guys miss a lot of what they normally would cover.
  12. 4 Louisville teams in the top 175 that is pretty good..
  13. You did sooooo much better then I did!:thumb: If that is any consolation.

  15. We have a new winner for last week's contest and it is 4chs with a score of 188, a score he shared with The Scribe! But 4chs's guess of 185 was much closer than The Scribe's 211 in tie breakers. The picks were Bellevue 52 Pleasure Ridge Park 41, Scott County 48, and Newport 47. The contest will not be final for 24 hours. All contestants have until then to challenge the results. When it goes final the winner should contact theguru at [email protected] to claim the prize. Remember to please support the people that support this site, and pick up a Snappy Tomato Pizza today!! 16. The impressive thing is that Manual had one of the better defensive teams statistically until last night. Shelby was able to pass at will on a defense that had been pretty successful thus far.
  17. Petew will have them in detail tomorrow but I know they had near 600 yards of offense, as did Manual.
  18. Final. Great game by both teams tonight hats off to the Rockets, I know that is a tough loss when they played so well! But terrific comeback by the Crimsons!:thumb:
  19. Manual 57 Shelby Co. 54 Final Go Rams!!
  20. Manual is on Shelby Co. 28 with 1min left.
  21. Both, no defense for either team tonight.
  22. Manual breaks a huge gain and then fumbles near the endzone resulting in a touchback for the Rockets, 2 minutes left and they are driving.
  23. 54-49 Shelby they went for two and missed it Shelby has over 550 yards Manual has over 475. Manual's ball on their own 48. 4 mins left.
  24. 5 minutes left 49-48 Manual but Shelby Co. is in the red zone.
