IMO School vouchers will give parents the right to open enroll their kids in any public or private school they want. This would mean that all schools are open enrollment, the schools with a high level of students from low economic backgrounds will inturn lose all the students that parents are able to take them to a better preforming school, while in the meantime the school they leave will still have the low economic background students except now with less funding from the state, so IMO the rich schools get more rich/high preforming kids and the poor schools get left in their dust.

How are the poor families going to get their kids to the private school?

Everyone has their soap box. I am an undecided voter that's focus is Education. I have looked indepth at both Obama and McCain and their stance on the education system. I have one hang up....I simply believe that school vouchers (while a clear infringement of seperation of church and state) could possibly put an end to the public school system and create a form of education where the rich/smart get smarter and a chance at a better education. On the other hand Obama has great education ideas including tracking students (which is the problem of our school system today tracking schools instead of students) but alot of his ideas are also going to cost alot of taxpayers dollars.......can someone make this more clear to me?

Its a problem at large schools as well....and it happens more often! More athletes means more issues IMO!

No matter when one starts and the others begin basketball coaches should be respectful of football finishing up....this doesnt happen and basketball coaches make the athletes chose sports, coaches say they dont...but it happens on a daily basis.

In Scott County October 15th was celebrated with students getting out early...at 1:30...More Practice Time!!!!! (it also aligned with our monthly early release day....no connection to the start of Basketball...but it sure made you look!)

The KHSAA fines LCA for participating in giving out illegal scholarships. I do not understand how then the KHSAA allows all that recieved illegal scholarships to transfer back to their home school penality free. On the other hand Shotwell from LCA (did not recieve illegal funds) transfered back to his home school for numerous legit reasons but he was ruled ineligible. So in a way the KHSAA is promoting taking illegal monies, if Shotwell would have accepted illegal monies he would be eligible this year....? Sounds like the KHSAA needs a little lesson in character education!

Griesser had his chance to move on up with the Tates Creek Job....He chose to keep his loyalty to Montgomery. He is a loyal and hardworking coach that knows the game....I agree with many on the board that thinks that Griesser's time to move on up may be nearing!

If possible please also explain why the KHSAA would reward the athletes that recieved illegal money with immediate elgibility and declare others inelgible...shouldnt even the athletes (who didnt recieve illegal funds) that did not want to attend a school that has been fined by the KHSAA have the right to transfer away from that school as well?
