Can't say how the other schools will dom but TM will bring a great crowd for this game.

Does Highlands have any chance to...
The 2nd Edgewood game was a misnomer. TM has several injuries and some follies type things happen on special teams (knee down on 1yr line on opening kickoff, 2 punts under 20 yards, punt blocked, etc) And they only took the Ohio State champs to Overtime at Piqua. And took the #4 ranked team from Region 4 to the last play of the game. to lose by 6. The only other loss was by 2, with several special teams errors that night.

Does Highlands have any chance to...
This is going to be a great game. The question wil be how Highlands handles the speed and size of TM. How has Highlands fared vs a Big and Fast team in the past? Highlands seems like a smaller and typical Northmont team, who runs the ball more. So TM has had gone against teams like Highlands before. So the biggest adjustment will be Highlands vs the size and speed. Especially at WR, where TM goes 6'6" 243, 6'2 185, 6'5" 220, 6'3" 210, 5'10" 182 (4.48), 6'4" 210.

Does Highlands have any chance to...
You are exactly correct. People give us the same treatment they gave Colerain when they were coming up into a power. I can assure you that 99.9% of the folks on this board have no idea what TM is all about. And are going off Yappi and other sites where you hear from our rivals...(Northmont) about how terrible TM is, undisciplined, doesn't playa as a team, etc. yadda yadda yadda. Most of those people say that about schools who are majority Afrcian American. Sorry for the Soapbox. Leatherneck, you post is 1000% correct. Thanks for posting

Does Highlands have any chance to...
There have not been many. Actually the only ones I can think of is a QB at Air Force and a OL at Ohio State. In all seriousness I think I know Dayton area better than you. Xenia sucks. they are always over rated.

Does Highlands have any chance to...
Well if you grew up watching Beavercreek Battlin' Beavers then you have not watched very good football. And compared to the Creek, Xenia does looklike a powerhouse. Trust me they aren't. If I missed the good ole tongue in cheek then I apologize. I never questioned you about Centerville. Great program.

Man you do not get out much. Chris Leak has been a 4 yr starter at Florida and just won the National Championship in January.

IN the playoffs, TM lost 2 starting OL. Had the KO Return man put his knee down on the TM 1 yrd line. 2 punts of 20 yards or less. And a blocked punt. Some crazy stuff happened that game. TM beat that team 34-0 earlier in the year at their place. Last season, new coordinators, so the O and D were totally new. Given that, this year they will be better.

Does Highlands have any chance to...
Xenia has NEVER been a powerhouse. TM added 2 new coordinators last year, and that has ben the bigest difference in their play. They have not had an offense that could score until last year. Those coaches have a lot to do with the revival, and the great clases coming through right now. Come on, impose their will.......you, me and 9 other guys have a shot vs the Colts if we dont let them impose their will on us. That statement is a little dramatic don't you think.......

Does Highlands have any chance to...
Did not play St. X last year. Fact is thats they play in a very tough league. And had been down except for a year or two. But in the past few years they have done a great job of cultivating talent and had some move ins from other schools, and some private school kids who have came back to their home school.

Highlands vs. Trotwood (Take #2)
I honestly do not, I just know that my nephew told me that the freshman coaches ran the weight room for some of the days the past few weeks. And the varsity coaches were leaving school early as well on those same days the freshman coaches were in the weight room. TM does not get out of school until 4:15.

Highlands vs. Trotwood (Take #2)
Well i gave a break down earlier...but here goes. OFFENSE. Almost every starter at the Skills positions is back along with the Top reserves who played a lot on fridays. TM played a new offense last year, going form the I to the Spread and put up record numbers. QB (Domonick Britt) Amassed over 4K yards Passing and Rushing. Close or over 2K yards rushing as a team last year. Offers from Minnesoat, Illinois, West Virginia, Louisville, Soon to be Cincinnati, Ran a 4.59 at Nike Sunday. Add a RB (Michael Shaw) who came back to his home school from Archbishop Kettering Alter, who has offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Vandy, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Maryland, etc 10.65 100m already this year. WR's are a strong position for TM. Brandon Moore, 6'6" 243 Offers from Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia, Fla St, Miami Fl. Etc. Roy Roundtree 6'2" 185 offers from most the MAC's, Texas Tech, and soon to be UC. Ran a 4.49 at Nike on Sunday. Are 2 of the top players. OL is big and only 1 senior so this would be the weakness of the offense, however, they add several thick stalky players who will be an upgrade from last season. After losing 2 D-1 OT's DEFENSE DL - Along with WR the most talented and deepest part of the team. Moore will play some DE as well as playign WR. The rest of the DL will be all seniors and led by Corey Holt, 6'1" 284 and Rickey Smith 6' 275. LB" Jamiihr Williams 6'2" 230, Ike Washington 6'1" 288 (May move to DT) Domonique Sams 6'3" 220. Washington will be the BEst Defensive player in our league next year and is better at DT. DB: Most unproven, James Aubrey 6' 184, and Dwayne Byrd 5'11" 176 (4.47 at Nike Sunday) wil be the Corners and Derricus Purdy 6'1" 190, and Corey Byers 5'10" 172 will be the safeties. Weakness will be OL and DB. But the way they play on offense the OL should be able to keep up since last years OL was absolutely aweful. Outside of the 2 OT's. The interior will be strong and OT's should step up. 6'5" 281 Jr will be stepping up. As well as the Returning Starter will move out to OT, if 6'8" 290 Tackle can't play due to a basketball foot injury. IF he can play....this group will be solid. DB's will be just unproven. Talented group, but just unproven.

Trinity's Reid Hall to play for Wittenburg
Congrats, Witt is a great school. Not far from us. Excellent Academics and some pretty good football tradition. Best of Luck

Does that include a chauffer service to and from the game and a stop off at Martino's for a couple cold ones? Depending on the cost I would also require some stimulating conversation as well.

Highlands vs. Trotwood (Take #2)
Thanks for the info Leatherneck. I think it will be a great challenge for both teams.

Highlands Bold Prediction Thread (Take #2)
If you don't think Trotwod coaches have not been down to spring ball at all your crazy. They knew Highlands or St Thomas Aquinas were going to be their opponents. Trotwood had plans to see both teams in spring practice. STA does their spring ball in May. So it did not clash with Highlands. And if the Highlands coaches are getting any scouting off highlight and promo clips then they are really fighting an uphill battle. Just because you know the play does not mean you can prevent it. :ylsuper: Do you guys tailgate at all? We have a large group of parents/fans who do, maybe some of you guys could join us in a little pregame.
