I would put those 3 up against anyone in the state.

Athleticism didn't have a lot to do with Shelby Valley beating Elliott. Justice is a great athlete, but the loss should've had Mayes looking in the mirror after the game. That's my opinion of course.

The Elliott players are a little more athletic than they look. I'd put the Faulkners and Ferguson up against anyone.

Did Ferguson score 28 or more?

Elliott's players have played against fast players before.

Just for the record - Elliott hasn't lost on their home court since 2006.

I think an Elliott win Saturday would shake the top 5 up a little.

I thought Scott County WAS the number 1 team.

One thing I've decided after watching last night's game is that the 10th will have their hands full if they meet up with Shelby Valley at Rupp.

Those two and Ferguson are a handful. Its almost impossible to stop all 3 of them, or even 2 of them for that matter.

The refs are really letting them play in this one.

Sounds like they got it together in the 2nd quarter to me. This score isn't real surprising to me. East is probably Elliott's biggest (or close to it) rivalry game. I'm sure they came out with alot of emotion.

We dont really appreciate anyone calling our team a fraud. Yes, Rowan was beaten badly in this game, but one bad game doesn't make us a fraud.

You can go on with the wisecracks all you want, but if you're going to make posts like that you shouldn't shy away from backing them up. Its obvious that you were calling out the folks over at Elliott County and for no reason whatsoever. Noone had said anything about Shelby Valley being ranked #1 but you still popped in with being sure that many feel they should be #1 (and we all know who you're talking about). I just can't see any sense in stuff like that. Why can't we just give our opinions on who should be where in the rankings and why and leave it at that?:confused:

You made the first post, another poster responded to your first post, and then you responded to the other poster. So, I'm not really seeing any different meanings.

Let's see now - you posted: "I'm sure there are a lot of people on here that think Shelby Valley should be ranked #1 in the state. I think we all know who I'm talking about..." Your next post was: "Try explaining that to some people up at the Hook." So, unless those 2 AP voters are considered "a lot" as you put it and unless their names are "the Hook" I would have to guess that you were calling out the Elliott people from Sandy Hook. That's the only angle there is to look at.
