Al is the most overated coach in the mountains. He has always had great teams. Anyone could of coached some of his teams and been successful. Over the last few years the talent level has dropped at PCC and so was his wins. Now hes at Hazard and has another very talented team and winning. Hazard went to the regional champoinship last year and lost Hicks and Williams and just replaced them with Whitaker and Warren. The comment about Hazard being the better team, thats true, they are much more talented than PCC. But I dont believe Hazard will beat PCC 3times in one year, thats hard to do, and PCC is a completly different team since the last time these 2 met.

I think PCC is very capable of winning region. They have beat most of the regions best teams. Lets also not forget that district and region is on there own floor and they have only lost one game there this year. They have had a tough schedule(thanks to there former coach) and it has reflected on there record. But there schedule has just made them a better team. A month ago many people had given up on this team, now they have a good shot to win district/region.

They just went to the jungle and beat a good Cordia team(who was on a 7game winning streak) by 19. Cordia has recently beat Knott Co and JBS. Hazard has won 13 of there last 14 games(only loss to UAH) , so there playing really good right now.

Miller will get it since hes goin to UK, but I believe Hopson is the most talented player and Mack is very good too.

Love to see Bhorn win and they have a chance but Hazard is rolling right now.

I wish that were true but with Hazard making it to the finals of the All A and beating PCC by 26 @ PCC the last time we played, id have to say that there the favorite. Hazard is not unbeatable though and I do believe PCC will beat them in district or region(if they meet).

Id love to see Riverside pull the upset lol.

Ive seen both teams play recently and imo Lee is much better.

KCC at home is tough to beat, but Cordia has alot of seniors and should overcome KCCs crowd. Cordia - 61 KCC - 58

Hazard is by far the deepest team in the region. If someone gets in foul trouble they just bring someone off the bench almost or just as good. Young team too, basicly same team next year. Only player they cant have get in foul trouble is Whitaker, hes what makes Hazard go. This is coming from a PCC fan who hates Hazard! But I try to tell it like it is.

Estill and Cordia have alot of good guards but there lack of big man is going to hurt them if they have to play Hazard.

I agree, Andy Blank is supposed to be back for the 1st round game against Hazard in the district. If they dont bring there A game, its a possibility Buckhorn will beat them. If you have ever seen Buckhorn play you know they will give it 100% every second of every game.JBS doesent have an easy road out of district either. Wouldnt that be funny, the 2 most talented teams dont even make it to region? But with JBS sliding latley the favorite is obviously Hazard but they are far from unbeatable. JBS has beat them once, Lee Co, and Letcher have got close. Perry Co played them close for most the game the first time they played. Perrys been on fire latley and at a good time, but they was last year too before district and we all know what happend.

Chris Noble hit at least seven 3s, could not miss! Maybe the best shooter in the region and just a sophmore.

JBS is sliding, looks like this talented bunch might be lucky to get out of district.

Ive seen him play a few times. I probably watched him play his best game ever when Paintsville almost pulled the upset of Shelby Valley in the semi finals of the regional tourney when Landon was a freshman. He had 51 that game. Does anyone remember that game? I believe it went into overtime, but anyway a great game to watch. Landon really is a great player but imo at best can just walk on at UK. I believe he can play at some mid-majors schools though.
