I wish Elliott would have drawn Greenwood or Louisville Central. It sounds like you have never watched Elliott play this year. Elliott has as much speed and heart as anyone in the state.

I have got my facts straight. Elliott has had one of the most dominating performances in recent years in the 16th region. They deserve to be about the 6th or 7th team in the sweet 16. The only one that has been crying this year is you over your Bearcats.

I agree 100%. From what it sounds like we are going to have another Oak Hill Academy, but this is a public school. If this happens with an unmentioned team, they should be banned from playing in the state tournament. It is not fair to the kids that have busted their butts in hopes of winning a state championship. We don't need an all star team playing in our state tournament next year.

I am tired of hearing this that Elliott has not played anyone. The one loss Elliott had to Rose Hill. Elliott was up by 1 point with a minute to go, RH hit free throws late. The Cov. Cath. game Elliott was down by 4 with a couple mins to go, Cov. Cath. hit free throws late. Elliott was very capable of winning both of those games. Mason Co. was just unstoppable when they played Elliott at Maysville. They shot over 60% in the game. I hope every team in this tournament, believes that Elliott is the 13th best team in it, especially Mason Co. Elliott finished 26-3, beating a good East Carter 4 times, Huntington High, Christian Co., and Rose Hill. I love it when people who have only watched Elliott play one or two games think they know all about them. I have saw many games Elliott has played this year and they are very dangerous team. Even if Elliott loses again to Mason Co they have had a great year. They don't need someone that knows nothing about them, to tell them how they haven't played anyone. Great job this year Elliott. Congratulations on the 2nd 16th Region Championship in the school's history.

School was just now called off in Elliott County for tomorrow.

The bad weather is supposed to hit Elliott Co. after midnight tonight. I would say Elliott schools will be closed tomorrow. The roads are starting to get covered. The weather is giving sleet and snow all night. Ashland got hit hard with the snow, but Elliott hasn't been hit too bad yet. I would say that we will be lucky to get this game in tomorrow.

It looks like you can read. Great work. Pointing at your jersey to the opposing team's crowd and a scuffle between two kids on the court are very different. Don't get me wrong, I don't know the Jackson kid. I'm sure he's a very good kid and wish him nothing bad. It was just a point, nothing more. The post by the Raceland fan seemed to say their team did nothing wrong, but that wasn't the case. If you were at the game you saw the kid from Raceland clap in Morgan's face (number 5). Morgan then pointed at the scoreboard. I didn't enjoy him pointing at the scoreboard, but he was just being a kid and responding to the kid that clapped in his face. It happens. Good luck to both teams going forward.

I think this was a good game for Elliott. They got back on track shooting the ball better this game. Good luck to Elliott on Tuesday against Mason. I just think it is funny that someone always needs to say something about Elliott County. Earlier in the year it was running up the score. This game was way more lopsided that the final score indicated. Elliott had their subs in early, which Raceland played their starters to cut it back to 29. So I guess no one can complain about Elliott running up the score. Now it is Elliott's lack of sportsmanship. I don't want to hear anything about poor sportsmanship from the Elliott players or the crowd. When I played for Elliott back in the 90s the Raceland fans threw shoes on the court at us. I think you need to go back in history a little bit, before slinging mud about the Elliott fans.

You must not have seen Chad Jackson after the Rose Hill win against Elliott then, speaking of poor sportsmanship.

You know, I didn't see any of Elliott's players doing this after the finals last year. It's just not needed. Wrong direction or not.

So that is acceptable? I'm saying nothing negative against the kid, but is that needed? He had every right to be happy, but why do that?

Elliott has shot much better in their 17 wins. So one off night, doesn't mean much. I didn't hear this comment in their 17 wins.

I will say this, maybe a player shouldn't go to the opposing crowd and point at their jersey with the win. I understand being happy with the win, but your team may have to play this team again, enjoy the win, but don't add fuel to the fire. That may not be good.

This is a typical comment. When the team does well, the players did it, but when they fail the coach is at fault. This is a team and let's equally place the blame. Tomorrow is a new day, for the team(and the coach is part of it, not the sole reason for a loss). Good luck lions, I'll always support you, win or lose.
