South Laurel 66 North Laurel 54

South can make a run because they are huge favorites in their district and region. If they were in the 7th, 11th, 10th etc. the Cards would just be another good team. -
This going to sound strang I know. While Scott Co is probably the best team in the state, I don' think they are the favorite in the 11th. How can that be you ask. Well, Madison Central has a cake walk in their district, where Scott Co would have to compete with Bryan Station, another top 5 team, and Henry Clay. Also, the 11th region will be played in Richmond, another plus for Madison Central. I think MC has better odds than Scott Co.

Is this the same school system that fired a coach that had taken his team to the state 1/4 finals for letting his team eat at Hooters?

SC may be 35 poiint underdogs. Huntington has the top 6 ranked players in the state of West Virginia. Can you imagine of the top 6 players in Kentucky all played for the same school? All 6 of the Huntington top 6 Huntington players are D1. Their 6th man recently committed to Oklahoma. Huntington has won either 2 or 3 consecutive state championships.

Where does this put Coach Rison on the list of active coaches with the most wins?

What was the KHSAA thinking when it put SC, BS, and HC in the same district? -

Bubba, nice to see you got out of Corbin and the 13th to see some real basketball last night. Just kidding. Scott County's problems putting Cov Cath away had more to do with Cov Cath than Scott Co. Cov Cath is much better than most people think. Although I do not particularly like the deliberate style of play, Listerman coaches this style better than anyone in Kentucky. When they make threes at the rate they were last night they are very tough to handle. This game was good for Scott Co. In the 11th region, Bryan Station is playing very well. They distroyed Tates Creek and Doss in the same week, both on the road. I predict it will be Bryan Station and Scott Co in the finals of both the district and the region. Scott Co wins the district at home. The regionals are a toss up. It will be tough to beat BS 4 times in one year. -

Scott Co beat Cov Cath at Cov Cath last year. -

This was not a fun game to watch. Cov Cath plays very deliberate. One trip I counted 12 passes before they took a shot. Cov Cath is very d fundamentally sound and they never quit. Cov Cath had a great shooting game. They were raining 3s the entire game, many from NBA range. Listerman and Hicks are without a doubt two of the best coaches in Kentucky. -

I disagree. If Hicks wanted to really run it up last night the starters would have played more than 20-22 minutes each. If he wanted to run the score up on Bell Co the night before 11 kids wouldn't have played lots of minutes in the 1st half. -

I do think SC is the best in the state. But I don't think they are head and shoulders above Mason Co, Bryan Station, Ballard (I know SC killed Ballard earlier), and a 1/2 dozen others. The 11th region is so tough that SC only has a 50-50 chance to win it. They would probably have to beat Henry Clay, Bryan Station, Lex Cath or Tates Creek, and Bryan Station again to get out of their district and region. Just think of how good SC would be if Haddix were not ruled ineligible for his senior year. Many considered Haddix to be the best player on SC's team last year. Where was Portwood last night? -

Scott Co was actually up 44, 88-44, with 5:30 to go in the game. It was charity on SC's part to let GRC get it to 35. -

Well nwo, I think I will leave the post game comments to you. I am getting old. I think I will take the pup out to pee and go to bed and watch the highlights on the news. -

That dress she wore the other night would be good for my pre dawn runs. It looks like it would glow in the dark. -

When BS is on they can beat anybody in the state. The 11th region maybe stronger than the Sweet 16 this year. -

In another bid 11th region game Bryan Station has beaten Tates Creek by 18 points. Station will give SC a real challenge if they meet in the region finals. I don't think Station can handle SC at home in the district. -
