  1. Yep, really great to see. I know he has always been a class guy, but nice of him to tip the hat to the fans.
  2. Adam Dunn struck out three times Thursday, and is just 2-for-28 (.071) with a solo homer and 16 strikeouts in his last nine games. Harang (2-9, 4.31 ERA) has also been struggling lately, as he looks to avoid losing five straight starts for the first time in his career. Harang, who also lost four straight starts from June 4-20, 2005, has been pounded for 22 runs and 40 hits in 20 2-3 innings over his last four starts. The right-hander will make his first start against the Red Sox since 2005, and is 1-1 with a 5.23 ERA in two career starts versus them. Justin Masterson (3-0, 2.59) has won his last three starts, and has allowed just one run in three of his four starts. The right-hander has 18 strikeouts in 24 1-3 innings, and opponents are batting a mere .169 off him. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview?gid=280613117
  3. The Reds were due to score some runs, so I guess anything goes at this point.
  4. 17 and counting... I would think they just push Cueto back a day and pitch him Tuesday in the opener against the Dodgers.
  5. Would love to see the Lakers tie this thing up, I just don't like the Celtics at all.
  6. No one has mentioned going to see EXCITING Reds baseball this weekend. I get to see my first Reds game this year on Sunday and then go see the new movie The Happening. Even if early reviews are saying that nothing really happens at all.
  7. Apparently there is a player in the NBA that can help you with miracle cures, you might want to contact him for help. Reds have now gone 16 innings without scoring a run.
  8. Harang pitches tomorrow, Voltron Saturday. I got tickets to Sunday's game and I get to watch Bailey pitch, I'm VERY excited about that.
  9. Bruce will come on as a pinch hitter late in the game and get the winning hit. :thumb:
  10. How big is that signing now, especially after the injury. Braves have bases loaded nobody out in the 8th, don't score and it burns them. What a huge, huge, HUGE win. Now need to win a few more road games.:thumb:
  11. If this is meant to be "the year" then things will find a way to work out for the Cubs. Besides, it wouldn't be a typical Cubs year without some kind of adversity.
  12. Bronson Arroyo (4-5, 5.74 ERA) hasn’t made it out of the fifth inning in either of his last two starts. The right-hander is 4-5 with a 4.23 ERA in 13 starts versus St. Louis and went six innings for the win in a 4-3 road victory over the Cardinals on April 28. St. Louis is expected to place Pujols on the disabled list and activate right-hander Joel Pineiro (2-3, 4.50) to start Thursday in place of Adam Wainwright, who was disabled because of a sprained middle finger. Pineiro hasn’t pitched since May 20 because of a groin strain, but is 2-0 with a 0.68 ERA in two career starts against Cincinnati. He allowed one hit in seven scoreless innings of a 7-2 win over the Reds on April 29. St. Louis is looking for its first sweep of the Reds in Cincinnati since May 2-4, 2005. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview?gid=280612117
  13. Biggest homestand of the year and the Reds look like an A ball team thrown together 2 weeks ago.
  14. Has to go down as one of the greatest pitching rotations every assembled when those 3 were on the roster in their prime. Just unbelievable.
  15. Braden Looper (7-5, 4.86 ERA), who earned a win against the Reds on April 30, allowing two runs and seven hits in a 5-2 victory. Looper is 3-1 with a 3.47 ERA in three starts and 30 relief appearances against Cincinnati. Johnny Cueto (5-5, 5.06 ERA), who has posted a 3.50 ERA en route to winning three straight starts. Cueto suffered the worst start of his career on April 29 against the Cardinals, surrendering seven runs - six earned - and eight hits in just 1 1-3 innings in a 7-2 loss. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview?gid=280611117
  16. Kobe is awesome AND he drops the "S" bomb in the post game press conference. I LOVE live TV.
  17. As much as I enjoyed the Cubs 8th inning, I was kinda hoping the Braves would suffer yet another 1 run loss on the road.
  18. Nice to see the Lakers get a "gut check" win. Would love to see them tie this thing up on Thursday.
  19. So I have tickets to Sunday's game against the Sox. Do the Reds let the savior pitch again after tonight's HOF performance or since they don't have many other options, do they roll him out there a few more times?
  20. St. Louis rookie Mitchell Boggs (0-0, 4.50 ERA) will make his first career start Tuesday. He will take the mound in place of Todd Wellemeyer, who has inflammation in his right elbow. Boggs, 24, was 5-1 with a 3.28 in 12 starts for Memphis this year. Homer Bailey (0-1, 2.84), who is coming off his first start of the season. He allowed five runs - two earned - and four hits in 6 1-3 innings as Cincinnati lost 5-0 to Philadelphia on Thursday. The Cardinals won two of three games at home against the Reds from April 28-30. St. Louis won the series’ final two contests, collecting 28 hits and scoring 12 runs. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview?gid=280610117
  21. A guy who has always done things the right way on the field, congrats to him. With that said, time to get him off the roster now.
  22. Not a Giants fan, but you have to respect the great career he had. It's fitting if he and Favre would go into Canton the same year. ESPN can show us that "sack" 210 thousand times.
  23. The offense really struggled in LA for the most part and they still finished the trip 4-3. While they could have played better, I will take a winning left coast trip. They have survived the first chunk of road games this month, I'm happy. :thumb:
