I agree that the 8th region is wide open, (and very weak). I would have to put Oldham as my team to watch, they have a good coach and seem to always be in the mix come tourney time.

I'll take Union County. Union 49 Hart 14

Don't know much about Union Co. but I did see there first game, and although they only looked good 1 quarter for that game, they seem to be able to put 4 quarters together now. 5-1. Could be a sleeper in the class 3A region. Let's see what happens at Paducah next weekend. That will be a good test for them and I will be rooting for the braves! Might be the only one on the site now that I think about it!

For the size of Gallatin's school and the talent they have to choose from, I would say Coach Jones has done one heck of a job on building a program. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe they have been to the region semi's 3 of the last 4 years. Thats impressive.

In my opinion only, and in no way am I saying I am right or wrong, but I would rank the top 5 teams like this... 1. Ballard- Just for the fact they made it out of that region! 2. Scott County 3. Christian County 4. Shelby Valley 5. Warren Central I feel like these teams have the best shot on winning it all. I also think Newport could make some noise, but as far as winning it all, I would pick one of these 5.

SO has a fine team and I wish them nothing but the best in the final. In fact I hope they win the region.
