7th Region Top 5 Teams (Very close to being the best region in the state behind the 11th Region) 1. Ballard - After an Impressive title run in the KOB this team gets top spot going into the last week of the year. Team is averaging over 80pts per game, with lone loss to #1 Scott County. Beckham and Hamilton are hard to stop. 2. Male - Very impressive wins over 6th region foes Doss and up and coming Fairdale in the KOB and a close game with Ballard in the finals gives them the 2nd spot in this poll. Mr.Football can play Basketball too!!!! 3. J-Town - This team I believe will give Ballard the most problems coming out of the 7th Region. Very strong and physical team, can compete with any team. 4. Trinity - Big win over Manual earlier in the year and an undefeated team all the way up until yesterday puts them in the top 5. Just remember this name, Tanner Jacobs. He is a "Beast". 5. Manual - The shocker of the 7th region so far. Has only lost 2 games so far and might have the best sophmore in the state in Jacob Jenkins. 6th Region Top 5 (Not as good overall as years past) 1. Doss - Best inside-outside Duo in the region in Jeff Brooks and Davin Anderson. Good 5th place finish in the KOB. Knocked off state powerhouse PRP. Looks to make big run in the 5/3 Bank Holiday Classic. 2. PRP - Still a very good and dangerous team like always. Until their point guard Adam Decker Returns to the lineup. Very good team come February and March. 3. Central - Very young team, but the most athletic in the 6th region. Mcgee also could be the best Sophmore in the state. Too many turnovers and mistakes could cost them come districts and the region. Bibby will have them ready though. 4. Desales - Dont ever count out the colts. Offensive and Defensive execution is key for this young bunch. Jeff Mullaney is a threat anywhere on the court. Desales could be the Dark horse of the 6th region. 5. Fairdale - The suprise team of the 6th region so far along with Central. Big wins over #2 Warren Central and #20 Shelby County in the KOB boosted their confidence extremely. Reggie Smith is the real deal and could contend for Player of the Year in the 6th region.

WOW..... ShooterX you care to place a friendly wager on them not winning the 6th region. I will give you 4 reasons that they will win the region. 1. PRP is in a down year and with guard play only they will not beat Doss. Doss already beat them this year and that was a bad game for Doss. 2. Desales is once again Desales. All heart and not enough talent. They have one go to guy in Mullaney and after that they are done. Good defense and good offensive execution but no help down low against doss with Brooks, and Anderson will do what he wants against them. 3. Central has 2 Super Soph's in McGee and the other kid. Might have the best talent in the 6th region in '08 and '09. Just too young to win the region. mistakes will haunt them all year. 4. Fairdale has a scrappy team and yes I was very shocked to see them pull off the upset win over Warren Central. Reggie Smith might end up being the best player in the region if Fairdale cant find another guy that can score with him. Just not enough height and weapons against Doss. Remember, I'm not and expert nor do I claim to be one. just my opinion.

Watch for Doss to take down Male in the 3rd round after a loss to the bulldogs in the KOB. Doss will not let Beaumont score 30 on them again. New defensive scheme and holding Beaumont under 20pts and Doss wins that game.

Yeah those young kids are th real deal at Rose Hill. I give them tons of credit for stepping up big like they did all week. Doss now moves on to the 5/3 classic in Lexington where they will be looking forward to more tough competition and hopefully a rematch against Male in the 3rd round.

If Doss dont use Brooks the right way it will be a long year for Doss. I have been to like 4 of their 6 games and all he does is move around the 3 point line and around the free throw line playing high low. He needs to be posted up more down on the blocks and get the ball alot more than he does.

How good is Covington Catholic this year? Who is the favorite in their first game against Doss??

Doss will be the toughest Louisville team RH has played to date. Lets see how good they match up with them. Should be a good one.

Warren Central will give Ballard a game. Ballard might be the deepest team in the state. It should be Male vs Ballard Tomorrow night for the KOB title.

Looks like a pretty good field. I shall be there with bells on.

Watched the Kid play this past weekend and he is in fact the real deal people. If he doesnt get any help the rest of the year from his teammates, he will average 30ppg.

What is the young kid who looks like he is in the 6th grade for Franklin Co. Little blonde haired boy prolly 5'5 130lbs. He was just jacking 3's up last night against Doss in the KOB. Just wondering who he was and how old he was.

Looks like alot of people on here like Male beating Doss Saturday night. I was just wondering how many people have seen both of these teams play this year. I watched both teams play last night at the KOB and one thing is for sure Saturday night will be rockin with Doss Vs Male and then Central Vs Warren Central. Doss might be the dark horse of this tourney. I watched them a couple of times this year and I have hardly seen anyone that can score against them down low. Brooks (6-8) and Brown (6-7) make it tough for the opposing teams. Gavin Anderson runs the point for the dragons and he can take it to the hole 85% of the time and either score or draw contact or dish off to the big men for a dunk. Male on the other hand has Mr.Everything Beaumont running the show for them. He looked pretty impressive against Meade Co. last night. He showed a side of him last night that has been missing from his game and thats the 3 ball. If he can knock down those 3's when the defenders are backed off of him cause they are affraid he will fly by them he will be the key for Male come Saturday. Who will step up and be the X factor for Male if Beaumont is not on his game. The Beaumont vs Anderson matchup should be a dandy.

Doss looked unstoppable against the smaller Franklin Co. team. I thought Jeff Brooks ws out for himself at the begininng of the year but the kid basically had a triple-double with 8 assist to go along with 13 pts and 11 rebounds, ohh yeah and 6 blks. The Male and Doss game should be alot of fun. I am eager to see who Male has besides MR.Everything Beaumont

Its gonna be like that all year for ETown, Pettigrew will prolly averegae 28-30pts a game cause he is by himself. They will win the games they are supposed to win but thats it. Unless you get him some help ETown will not go very far this year. Pettigrew will win Player of the Year.
