Some huge individual efforts in this game. Can somebody give Pettigrew some help?

No disrespect to the Yellow Jackets but Pettigrew does need some help. Central has some nice young players in Bunton and McGhee.

Could McGhee be the second coming of Charles Barkley?

McGee is proof you don't have to be quick or be able to jump to score and rebound. He is a bit over-weight but seemed to use it to his advantage. He barely leaves the ground, so his game does not compare to Barkley's in the least. But nevertheless, he had a solid game tonight.

Pettigrew was all alone in this game. He was even their press-breaker tonight. He did it all.

Its gonna be like that all year for ETown, Pettigrew will prolly averegae 28-30pts a game cause he is by himself. They will win the games they are supposed to win but thats it. Unless you get him some help ETown will not go very far this year. Pettigrew will win Player of the Year.

Kidding, right?

Yeah, I'm kidding, but I do like the kid and for the high school level he is "Charles Barkley like" because he is a big body and uses it very well in the post.

I agree with the earlier comment. McGee will end up being a solid high school player but his lack of speed makes him a post player. His bulk is not muscle and he is not very mobile nor athletic. His favorite move is to bump people back then use the glass at point blank range. His ballhandling skills and defense by far are his biggest weaknesses. He is an age exempt player meaning he is held back a grade. He does have the ability to find ways to get points. It will be interesting to see how he develops in the future.

Pettigrew was fantastic as always last night. I just could not figure out why they had him on the wing in the 1 3 1 defense. Central guards are not the best shooters, Skeens is good though, but having Pettigrew away from the basket seemed odd. Centrals guards were just driving and dropping it down to McGee on the block for layups. Near the end of the game Pettigrew was finally in the paint and McGee took a flat-footed shot and Pettigrew sent it to another time zone on a block shot. I just think if 'Grew was in the paint more defensively it eliminates all Central offensive rebounds and forces Central to shoot from the outside.
