Ellis dunk after Pulaski turnover makes this game feel like it has slipped away from Pulaski.
37-26
Mercer on 15-0 run and Fraley has missed 5 shots in a row. To be fair all have been in traffic and very contested.
Pulaski had a bunch of turnovers and offense created very few good shots in 2nd quarter...got to credit Mercer's defense too.
I think every basket Mercer scored in the 2nd was basically at the rim or a layup. Mercer offense got two or three buckets wide open at the rim in their half court sets.
Look back a few games ago when they ran several set plays in the same situation and were lauded for it. They executed in this situation just a couple of weeks ago and nearly each possession ended with Reed shooting free throws. You think they just forgot those sets and plays or maybe, just maybe a couple of players didn't execute it the way they were supposed to?
There is zero chance that they haven't worked on this type of stuff.
I've read that the first season it will host 8 teams and hopes to expand to 16 in year two. The tournament will be held in Las Vegas. Each team will receive $1,000,000 in NIL money to split between players and another $1,000,000 going to the winning team.
Imagine if they schedule this in March at some point...hmmm. That would create a mess.
