  1. Ryle had bermuda grass it was very high maintenance expensive seeding each spring heavy use of nitrogen to keep it growing nobody could use the field in the spring, 1st frost it went dormate (brown) overseeding with rye grass after it went dormate and almost after every game The field got heavy use varsity football and soccer by october it was a mess. One heavy rain and a football game and it was a mess before october. gave the guys taking care of it fits.
  2. I didnt have a favorite tonight but after looking at some stats and seeing Trinity has 20 some state championships I still say its easy to when when you can have your pick of top players in a large region. Its not only Trinity but Cincinnati St X Highlands, Etc. It's simple been going on for 70 years Ive been around It's easy to win when you can recruit
  3. From what I hear Randall Cooper HS is suppose to hold about 1200-1300 students when complete and at current population expansion rates in the it county should be full in a couple years after opening. They will host all sports and probably farther diluate the sports talent pool of the existing 3 schools Boone,Ryle,Conner .I understand when open in 2008 seniors who are suppose to go there may choose to graduate from their current school, other juniors Etc will have to transfer.
  4. From the Boone County newspaper Boone County at Ryle: Stakes are big here as usual. If the Rebels win, they're the No. 1 seed. If Ryle wins, they're No. 1 for sure if Simon Kenton loses. A Simon win creates a three-way tie for first, with Ryle currently having the edge in the tiebreaker, but Boone plays Henry Clay (6-1) and Madison Central (5-2) the final two weeks. Boone's playmakers will be a big test for the Raider defense coming off a big win in Louisville. Weber - Boone by 3. Koehler - Boone by 1. Jones - Boone by 6. Gray - Boone by 10. Caudill - Boone by 10. Ruscher - Ryle by 10.
  5. You know it's hard to figure How good Ryle is and where they should be in the standings, their schedule dosent give them a true test. I think they are pretty good then look at last week against SK and you wonder
  6. "Cinderella danced a great number of dances this year, but sometimes Cinderella comes to the dance but just can't dance, what a great season you Ryle Players have had" How hard you worked, you never gave up. Each one of you will leave Ryle a better man for the team effort. You have learned one of the great secrets of life "Team Work Gets It Done" As a team and as indivudials you have set new school standards for the next Ryle teams to try and reach. As you each go to your different paths of adulthood it will be easier for you You already are winners. I will long remember the great Ryle baseball team of 2007 God Bless.
  7. Anybody know how that ended tonight
  8. No matter who won and who lost and the reason for all of it it was a Great Sunday and a fun ball game I enjoyed watching it, seemed like the old days coaches getting on the Ump nerves and a lot of hitting. Hard to take a little soonze in the warm sun with all that bat on ball noise. I think everyone had fun I did
  9. I watched the Allen Girl at Ryle the other day has about 6 or 7 pitches and has the power and precision to get them across the plate she's fun to watch and never seems to weaken no matter how long she pitches, She's a lot better than the couple times I saw her last year, looks like she's already pitching at Oklahoma
  10. Judging from what I read in the local paper they won all games in Fla except one and that on a 2 hit 3 error score of 1-0 not bad but need to quit the error thing that kills a good season quick

  12. You have to remember what is being built on Longbranch road also on the outskirts of Union that will dilute the talent pool even farther and it will open in 08
  13. Coop has been at every event this year and especially at the fastpitch champion game
  14. Guru remember our talk about pictures you are now seeing the pictures before you take them, so like I told you you are now home, it's you not the camera
  15. When I was walking yesterday afternoon there were a lot of people on the field with blowers and they were putting down some red stuff Looked like the old days at Ryle when everybody pulled together Way to Go Guys
