I hear white people say it jokingly to black people and they don’t get upset. I’m not seeing a difference just because of that.

The only time the divide comes up concerning this word is when white people use it or try to rationalize why they can’t use it. It’s simple to me. I never use the saltine equivalent slur like George Jefferson used to and I never use the H word that rhymes with donkey. I expect the same from caucasians in reverse. It’s called respect.

Depends on what they say. Lisa Lampanelli has always gotten a pass but she has also gotten in trouble because of some things she said that went too far. I’ve never heard anything from Jeff Ross or Greg Giraldo so I imagine that folks are cool with things they have said. If I haven’t heard of them then I guess they know how to tie the line. Gary Owens is a great example for how to be funny with racial jokes.

There’s no way Papa John doesn’t use that word on a regular basis in various contexts if he was brave enough to say it during a conference call.

Because they want to use it too without getting in trouble. It’s not fair that the blacks can use it and they can’t.

Boyle County has played against all of the Lexington schools at one point or another for many years now. I’d also say that playing and having success against some of the best teams in 3A like LexCath, Corbin and playing traditional and current state champ Danville is equal to or better than over half of the teams in 6A. I do think that Ballard will be an entirely different team in November than they where they are at in August. This game will help them and if they win then IMO Ballard should be considered a top 10 team in the state. If Carr can develop chemistry with the new WRs quickly then Ballard will be off to a strong start.

I hope everyone they play thinks just like this.

Hell, I left out QB Reed Lanter who will be one of the best QBs in the state at any level. :lol2: :lol2: Yeah, this team is going to be a lot of fun to watch. Get your popcorn ready!!!!

Truth. Whenever you tell someone that something they said could be perceived as racist they get offended.

And for the record I am not trying to disrespect Ballard. My comments and beliefs are based solely on what I know about these kids and these coaches. The way this has always worked is that when you give these coaches the same kids for multiple years and they achieve success then you will see some special things. There’s no doubt in my mind that this will be a special season for Boyle County.

What does Ballard do extremely well because they won’t be able to run the ball. That won’t happen. This Boyle County secondary is arguably one of the best secondaries that Boyle County has ever had in the history of the school so if you plan to attack by the air you better be precise. So now that we have established that it is going to be extremely difficult for Ballard to score what kind of defense does Ballard have? Even without Tanner Crawford at RB Boyle County is still returning Landen Bartleson at RB and Reese Smith at WR. Add in Reiley Colwick, Cam Yates, Grant Hotchkiss, Nick Snyder......man...this team is not only stacked but they will hit the ground running. Watching these Boyle County coaches when they not only have this kind of talent but so much returning talent is a problem for everyone on their schedule. I’ve seen this movie before.

I look forward to watching them both next season. I hate that the state doesn’t get behind both of them equally. They both deserve our love and support.

This is me. I think they lose but I don’t care. I hope they give the NCAA 1,000,000 pages of paperwork, depositions, press conferences. Just make them miserable and I’ll call it a win.

Because it feels like people have been looking for a reason to root against KyKy and everyone is rooting for Dontaie. It’s weird to me that people turned against KyKy so quickly and I’ll never understand why folks in KY turn on homegrown KY kids so quickly.
