Where's Campbell Co. in your list? Campbell 42, Conner 7. Holmes 15, Conner 8. I've seen both teams. Campbell is much better than Holmes.

This will be a very close game. Mu gut feeling says that NC will play their best game of the year and pull the upset by a FG. If Beechwood really is #4 up here in NKY, they should win easily, but I don't see it in this big rivalry game.

You are being awful tough on the Cougars. I never believe in one team making the other team look good. A team looks good based on its own play and can many times make the losing team look bad.

You are correct. I do not see any way that 3-4 in the district will make the playoffs so they must go 4-1 or 5-0 to have a chance to join the fun.

I have not seen Dornbush so I cannot comment on him. I know that Ross Uminger has some serious D-1 interest.

Should be a great environment as always for a big rival game. No doubt in my mind about who wins this game, but what difference does my mind make. It's not all that strong anyway. Lookin' forward to seeing four excellent running backs (Farris, Gray, Murray and Schmitz).

No comparison between this year's Ryle team and last years from what I have seen. I like Campbell as the #2 team right now.

IMO, SK has to beat Campbell or Ryle to make the playoffs now. That's how significant this loss is for the Pioneers. Not an easy task ahead of them.

They were both about 30 yards out of the slop. Ross is a very good kicker, he and Popham are the two best in NKY this year. Ross has made a couple from 42-45 yards on dry fields that have had 10-15 yards to spare.

Scott-Holmes and Scott-Conner may be close games but I doubt that Scott would be favored to win either game. IMO, it is a 5-team race for the four NKY 4A playoff spots. My opinion on that has not changed since the preseason.

Weasel, remember your words about Ryle not getting out of the second round of the playoffs. Wait and see.

Settle down, Diamond Dandy. CovCath played one of the top teams in the NATION and played well. Highlands has played 3 very good football teams in their losses. HHS and CovCath have earned respect IMO.

What happened in the OT's? Sounds like a great game. Very big win for Dixie in a game they needed to win at home.

Great job, Raiders. Good to see Kyle getting comfortable back at QB. Can't just play the run anymore against the Raiders. Kyle had 3 TD passes.

I do not see it as a devastating loss when you go out of state and play a very good football team. The only loss that will be devastating to the Birds would be one in the state playoffs (or maybe to Park Hills).

Holmes has some good players, no doubt. Here's what Fball stud said that I was reacting to: "But like I said earlier, if the Holmes team that I know shows up, they will beat the Raiders." So, when Holmes loses, he simply has an excuse: "The Holmes team I know did not show up." The team that fballstud knows will show up and play their very best. So will Ryle.

You are just setting yourself up for "Holmes did not show up", "They shot themselves in the foot", "too many mistakes", excuses, excuses, excuses - that's why Holmes lost. Holmes will absolutely give it their best shot and the best Holmes team possible will show up. The Dawgs know how important the game is just like the Raiders do. If it's your impression after the game that Holmes "did not show up", it will be because Ryle took them out of their game. The better team will win this game....period. Both teams will show up.
