I don't think Bracken is looking any farther ahead than Friday night. It will be a close match up. Rob always has his boys ready and Fite's got his boys believing in themselves.

I would love to see the two of them with Coach Fite for another year or two. Just imagine ....

Jesse, Tyler, Eli, Alex, Ben, and all the guys deserve more from their fans than what they've been getting. These boys are working hard, they've earned the right to have some fired-up crowds!!:ylsuper:

I totally agree that the student section for BCHS lacks morale and enthusiasm. I have also noticed that there aren't many parents who get up and cheer. Sure wasn't like this when I played against BC. What happened to school spirit????

The band would help but I think it will take more to get the student's involved. Where are the crazies????

Has anyone seen Bracken's student section?? I was out tonight to watch the Bears take out the Saints. Great game. I couldn't help but notice that Bracken's student section was a bit quiet. In fact, I didn't see one student leave their seat during the entire game, except to get a hotdog. What's up? I know there's quite a bit of school spirit at BCHS. It would be great to see a little of it Friday night. St. Pat brought the enthusiasm tonight with its band and student section, kudos to you guys.

Hated, HAted, HATED to see Bracken lose, but I am happy for Coach Johnson. He is a great guy and I am glad that he finally got his first win. Would've been tough to lose 4 in a row.

I was at the game and was very upset with what I saw. I respect and admire both coaches. People don't pay to go to a game and watch kids shooting free throws and this game turned out to be a free throw demonstration. The refs just wouldn't let the kids play. There were a lot of weak fouls called both ways when driving to the basket. You play a big time school and these calls aren't gonna be called; it takes away from the intensity of the game. So why is it that when two big rivals play, these petty fouls are called? The refs also made several questionable calls near the end of the game that could have changed its outcome. Can't blame it all on the refs but it sure does help if they know what in the world their doing.

So let me get this straight. It's a good thing to be on BlueGrass and be bad-mouthed?? That's what this post appears to be. That and a few A-Towners tooting a horn. Let's just post facts and deal with the rest on the court.

Any news on the Harrison County Panorama? Did any teams in particular stand out??

Any comments on today's article?? A coaching carousel?? While this may be true, I'm pumped about all the changes in 10th region basketball. Should make for an exciting season!:banana:

I believe a double standard does exist. I think it may still be the prehistoric way of thinking by those in position to hire qualified coaches. However, I do not believe that it has anything to do with one gender being easier to coach than the other.

Ms. Insko is a wonderful person and a great athlete. I had the pleasure of teaching her a couple of years back and I truly enjoyed her presence in my class. She will be a very successful young lady. Congrats to Maisie and good luck!

I have known Jay for years and I know that he will do an outstanding job with the boys program at BCHS. Jay is a wonderful person who sets high expectations for himself as well as his players and he knows the game. With collegiate experience, head coaching experience, and his passion for the game, I believe we will see great things out of this basketball program.
