What I am saying is: Clay beat Whitley by 2 runs the score being 3-1 all unearned. Bell being the much talked about favorite should have beaten them by more that 1 run. Or could it be that Whitley is not that bad a team after all? Could Ledington possibly have his team going in the right direction?

Back to the game. Who will Williamsburg pitch tonight in their second game against Whitley? They have thrown the Barton kid, Conlin, and had put in Moses before the game was called. I look to see Rose on the mound for Whitley. Any thoughts?

The difference: Coach Smith was handed a regional championship team. Coach Ledington was handed a team with little success from last year. Expectations: Bell should have beat Clay by at least 6 runs Whitley would have been expected to take thumping. How is Smith doing with his "class"? I think he had a study hall at Whitley. How is South Laurel doing this year?

And I'm sure Bell County was chomping at the bit to get rid of a coach that won the regional championship :lol:

And two of their losses was to top 13th region team Clay Co. As far as Coach Ledington goes, you will have to ask him why he came to Whitley? I just know Whitley fans are really glad to have him.

Whitley County too put Ledington closer to home. As I see it Whitley and Bell just switched coaches to make things better for both coaches. However, I do feel Whitley got the better coach out of the deal. I have only heard good things about Ledington from the Whitley fans. As far as his record this year. Whitley County has played some really close games with a pretty tough schedule. I don't think anyone at Whitley is dissapointed with how Ledington has handle this years team. We play regular season games to get ready for the big ones. With that being said the Colonels are now 1-0 in district play. Go Colonels!

The Colonels have played a tough schedule and yes there record does not reflect the talent they have. However Ledington has found a way to win against a team that has outscored there opponents like 38 to 11. As far as rubbing People the wrong way its the first I have heard of it. Ledington is well liked and much welcomed at the county.

Final

I'm surprised that Whitley County has gotten little mention. They did really well against Clay Co. which, is probably one of the best teams in the region if not THE best. Whitley lost 3 to 1 with all of Clay's runs being unearned. However, this has been the only game the Colonels have gotten to play due to rain. How do you all see Whitley doing this year?

Cody has alot of athletic talent but, can't win alone. Whitley has alot of talent to go along with him. I look for the Colonels to make some noise this year. If the Colonels can stay healthy, they have the talent to make a run at region. Go Colonels!

Who are some of the better players in the region and how do you think Whitley County will play out in the mix?

My Colonels should be tough in this one and I'm gonna say they win by a TD then, reallity sets in and Ill have to say Bell Co. wins by 12. Go Colonels!:fight:

I'm probably gonna get alot of heat from this but, I say Williamsburg will win both games. The Jackets are a really good defensive team and both teams are gonna hit the ball. Pitching will help but, I think the Jacket defense will come through for them tonight.

Whitley Co and SL will play their district double header tonight, Anyone have any comments or predictions?
