If South plays like they did last night, then I will say South by 15+. If they play like they did against North then it could be a real close game. How does everyone else feel.
The game is being played at South. I agree with you that a lose at this point in the season would help get the teams focus back. I think South's biggest problem is that they don't play any really big games against top 10 teams at the end of the season.
South came out in the first half playing solid ball. But the second half they came out a little flat. Big St. John had a great game, he is really starting to come along at just the right time.
As far as Corbin's gym goes, they made it easier to get to seats and more walking room up and down the side lines when they put in the new bleachers. However, in my opinion, there is not as much sitting room as there used to be.
Hammonds had 24 ,and I think Smith had 14, with Proffitt finishing with 11, eight of those in the fourth quarter. South with the exception of Hammonds had a very poor shooting night.
From my view point of the game South seems to be coasting by. Their not bringing there "A" game, and at this point in the season if you don't bring your best game someone is going to pull the upset. Hopefully they can get back on track before March, other wise they are going to have a very short post season.
They started playing like this at the end of last year and just about let Barbourville take one from them in the region. Hopefully Coach Wright can get there heads back where they need to be and can finish the season out strong.
How does everyone feel this game is going to turn out? I hope South comes out the winner in the game, but I really don't know what type of team Casey Co. has this year.
South didn't play the best game tonight that I have seen them play. However they say that when you don't play a good game against a good team and still manage to come out with a win thats what makes you a better team. Hopefully this game will give them an edge come post season.
Does anyone have the stats from the game.
I don't know how mcpapa like the gym, but for my opinion they have a very nice gym with plenty of seating shouldn't have any trouble hosting the region.
I would love to see a 45 second shot clock in high school basketball, but there is alot of good reasons out there as to why things should stay the same. The main two are the cost, and finding someone to run the clocks.
If South brings the team that played against North Laurel and Pulaski Co. they should have a pretty good chance, but if they bring that other team then its going to be a long night.
