Great win for the Royals !.

Very, very nice win for the Royals. Fall behind by 8 in the third, come back and battle back to get the win. Aside from practice, they get some well deserved rest before diving back into regional play next friday against Montgomery.

 

All the credit to J-Town for leaving it out on the floor, no question they will be a tough out next month.

Tony Browning came up huge tonight for the Royals off the bench! Way to go Tony!!

Very, very good weekend for the Royals.

Miller had 19, but Browning came up big for the Royals, hitting 2 huge 3's, and Middleton played good as well

Browning's two threes when Mason was down 38-30 were huge. Royals looked like they were done until Tony hit those shots.

 

Very nice to see Middleton more aggressive on the offensive end. His drive to the basket at the end of regulation was clutch. Although he missed one of the two free throws, that play got the Royals to OT, and he hit several free throws in the OT.

 

Setty once again hit a couple of critical baskets. His 3 with less than 2 minutes in OT was big. He has become maybe Mason's best clutch shooter this season.

 

There are players quicker than Darius Miller, there are better shooters, there are bigger guys. But I've watched a lot of games this year, and I haven't seen anyone who brings the complete skill set (including defense and shot blocking the last couple of games) that Darius has.

 

Mason got in trouble a few times down the stretch trying to get the ball in and advance it against the trap. Got in bad position against the sideline or just a step inbounds several times. They had guys open at the other end of the floor if they could just have gotten the ball to the center of the court a little easier.

 

Great weekend of basketball for the Royals and their fans.

I don't know how mcpapa like the gym, but for my opinion they have a very nice gym with plenty of seating shouldn't have any trouble hosting the region.

A little smaller than we're used to here in Maysville:D , but a very nice facility!

Another fine ballgame to watch as a fan,Montgomery has a first class gym folks very nice.Jtown has a couple real studs.I'm so proud of this Royal team they have the heart of a lion something you cant always have said about a Royals team.They just keep gutting it out,I'm by no means counting out anybody but if a 10th region team is to beat this bunch when there playing well like they are now they better pack a big lunch.And just to end it now I'm all for Montgomery hosting the 10th region next year and seeing how it plays out in that wonderful facility.Like papa said it a little small but wow is it top notch.Now a much a due week off for Mason after defeating two top 10 teams in back to back nights.:dancingpa
