Final in 1st round of 9th Region Tourney. Raisor threw 5 innings getting the Win. Bunning closed out final 3 innings. Leading hitters were Ramey, Whitford and Hennigan. Birds advance to play Beechwood / Boone Co winner. Congrats to the Dirty Birds

I expect more shots to go around next yr for the Birds. Very skilled kids who need to step up tenacity and could use a growth spurt or two. Lack a True Big. Several kids can play though.

The Birds are the favorite in this one, however the Breds are much improved and hung tough with the Birds in their last meeting. Who will the starting pitchers be and will the Birds continue their streak of shutout innings?

I can see Thelen playing JV next year as well as Deere. Coldiron may be more suited for Frosh ball IMO.

CovCath will be very good.

Trying to drive off when an officer is reaching into your vehicle is not smart, hence the resisting arrest. Sitting in an empty parking lot with your car running/lights on at 2:30am is not smart either. Especially if you are hammered and have weed on you. My guess is he was waiting for some company at that point.

Should be noted Highlands pitching has tossed 11 shutouts thus year which include wins over Elder, Henry Clay, LexCath, CovCath, Dixie.

Its amazing how kids just let a player get into the lane like that. I didnt even see another player for SS go for that ball...the pass must have been pretty bad. If Ruthsatz has the same work ethic as his older brother he will be just as good.
