Walton is going to have to play fast and beat boone's big guys up and down the floor because there will be a huge height difference. Boone will have more talent but they are young, so I look for a close game within 10.

Live and die by the three this year.

I will take Holmes in a blow out 82-62, with Layne out they will not have anybody to defend Henderson.

I think the Walton team is a little upset by letting the Gallatin game get away from them so they will come out with something to prove so I will say. 67-60 Walton but they have to hit some shoots.

To be honest yes it would have changed the game he hustles on the inside and he likes to bump bodies which Walton does not this year. But on the other hand he does have a temper and it gets him in trouble sometimes. So you really can't say for sure. I belive these two teams will meet two more times this year and he should be there for those games, so we will see.

It would have made a difference because Walton would of got at least two free throws and the ball. He is always good for one in these games.:devil:

I agree 100% I just don't see how people can say this is not a big rivalry game. I now that Owen was good last year and made for some good games with Gallatin but I think overall the past 5 years the Walton Gallatin games have been hated rivals. Plus it seems to grow with every game.

My turn a couple things no complaining about the refs because the game was at Walton Ha Ha. And trying to say that Waltons A game and Gallatins D game makes it close is just butch league. If you remember a couple years ago Walton won all the games it goes back and fourth and that is what makes it such a good game. Lets be honest the teams really do not care for each other. There seems to be more passion in these games then alot of other games I see all year.

Final just in 78-71 Gallatin in OT!! Another good one, they always seem to be every year. Can't wait for the rematch.

Yes he comes off the bench for the freshman team still trying to get in basketball form after a good football season.

I heard Sullivan came off the bench and hit 5 three's, any truth to that.

Simon Kentons problem this year is finding who is going to be the go to guy and where is the scoring going to come from. They lost about 90% of there scoring from last year. But they are still the team to beat in the 32nd.

This will be a back and fourth game in my opinion. I think in this game as well as all there games Walton will need to make some shoots if they come out cold it could get ugly. They have no inside game this year I belive nobody over 6'2. Also not very much varsity experince.

How about we let him have a chance to even be the number one option on his team before we put him in the company of Penny, Dunlap.

When it comes to Walton they usually always get to be second, but that is the way it goes when you have Scott Co. in your district for years. Then they follow that up with a Simon Kenton team that was one of the best they have had in years. Even with that Walton went to regionals last year and lost to the eventual winners in a close game in which they did not have there best player.

I thought Gallatin was a more complete team without Edmondson last year, and I thought the player that stood out with the most talent was Maddox and he is back with alot of help this year. So I belive they are the faviorte in the all a this year and have the abitlity to make some noise in the 8th. And you all know me and for me to say that about Gallatin it must be true. As for Walton they will be fast and they will shoot alot if they are on they could pull some upsets this year. But don't look for to much from them this year.

I watched him play last year and his shot is different but it always seems to go in. Congrats on the record.

I do think this team will give alot of teams fits this year and if they are on they really could suprise some teams. For loosing so much seniors last year they still return a team that had alot of varisity playing time. Jones played varisity the last two years, Ponzer played in every game last year, and Kirk became a big contriputer towards the end of last year.

Thats the thing they are going to have to make shoots from the outside I belive it will be the bread and butter for this team this year.

This is just to bad the post was one of the best things for high school basketball in this area. I loved the stats that came out and it helped to keep up with all the games you could not go to.
