Okay....I'm officially not a fan of ESPN's coverage. Watching the highlights of the race on Sportscenter caused me to laugh out loud. They just kept going on and on about how Junior needed to finish in the top 5 to make the Chase, neglecting to mention that it was still dependent on where Harvick and Busch finished. They showed just about every wreck or significant incident, but at the end just said that junior only finished 30th and just couldn't "Get 'er done." They failed to mention that he ran well the whole race and then blew an engine.
Also, why is Brad Daughtery doing race coverage? Where are his credentials to be considered an analyst? He actually made the comment on Saturday that Junior "hasn't ran well all season." Anybody who has followed the season knows that that is completely untrue. He is sitting where he is due to all of the DNF's, and he was running well each time he had equipment failure or got caught in someone else's mess. I'm not sure how you sit 13th in the points with 6 DNF's and losing 100 points without running well at some point in time.
Sorry for the rant....
