  1. You think about Robert Smith a lot. No where in that post was Robert Smith mentioned. He was talking about kids in Eastern Kentucky. Which is just what you said.
  2. How on earth do you know if he didn't play in summer leagues.
  3. Or to the kids hitting.
  4. All I have to say to you is come watch. Yea coach Combs is a good coach in my opinion most likely the best in the 14th region so why wouldn't he coach them to be good.
  5. You know Big Cat 44 Owsley practices every night at 4:30 so if you would like to see Robert throw the ball then come watch. The invitation is there, I am sure Robert would love for you too.
  6. I am not saying Lee is not the best team in the district, but Owsley will be much improved Big Cat 44 Lee is always good. Owsley has the best talent right now that they have had for years. I just hope they can put the talent to use.
  7. I agree to a large extent that Robert Smith is one of the best players too and I think he will prove himself to people as the season goes by. I think most people are waiting to see if he can make a come back. If they had a chance to see him practice they would see that his attitude is better than it has ever been. He is really getting into the game.
  8. I'll go with Muncie as being right up there among the best and Hendrix as well also Brandon Smith and Jason Bowling, Osborn, and Thomas are up there with anyone. I guess what I am saying there are a lot good players and it is really hard to say who is the best.
  9. I think he has done a really good job there he is beginning to turn the programm around.
  10. I see Jason Bowling as the best catcher in the 14th and I also think he will be playing college ball somewhere next year too.
  11. I have seen Bowling play every game he has played since he was in the 7th grade and like I said he does pull the ball most at bats. Yes he has power to other fields, I once saw him hit a ball over the center field lights at Owsley's field. Thats power, never have saw him hit one out to left field though.
  12. I am a Dean fan but I have known him since he was a kid. Of course I think he is one of the best coachs in the region, however I do understand where Kids Fan is coming from, let him coach a few more years and win the big one and then we will say he is on top of the list.
  13. Jason Bowling does like to pull the ball and will if he is given the opportunity, but he can hit to the opposite field. Really he is a very good hitter. Robert is a very good hitter too. I would hate to say which one is the best hitter of the two.
  14. I didn't mean they were best in the region I just ment they are the best on Owsley's team. They are good hitters though.
  15. Muncie is without question not only one of the best in the district but one of the best in the region. In Owsley county Jason Bowling is the best hitter right now Robert Smith has a chance of being, time will tell. Both are good hitters as well as Thomas McIntosh.
  16. I to love Owsley County and there sports teams, as well as, high school sports in general. Things will get better tomorrow is another day. I think Owsley will win by 5 points. Well said LeeCoBobcatfan.
  17. Yes it is he is a great coach and a nice person as well, he did a great job of coaching that game too. I didn't get to see it, but I wish I would have. I love to watch good baseball being played and it must have been a heck of a game.
  18. That is good thinking JeterFan and I would have done something like that myself becouse you have to win that first game. But I can see what he was thinking when he did it. Kcc had a better team than he thought.
  19. If the kid quit or not life will go on for him as well as everybody else. I love sports as much as anyone, Neeley is a very smart boy he is going to do well whatever he does, right now I am sure the kid wishes he hadn't seen a ball this season, what ever his reason for quiting. Lets all let the kid come to grips with his decision.
  20. Simth is a good catcher nobody said he wasn't. The kid from Leslie County is to and so is Jason Bowling from Owsley. I don't think no one is hands down the best is all I am saying.
  21. I don't get to may tickets I can read how fast I am going.
  22. I was there when Bowling was throwing in the mid 80's. He could last year also just had a very young team behind him 8th and 9th graders. He was really their only consistent pitcher and hurt his arm last year. Thats why the addition of Smith will really help Owsley's team. Wasn't a Jugs gun it was a police radar gun.
  23. Thats what I say too, what makes B. Smith hands down the best, you have to remember you have Bowling from Owsley and Baker from Leslie at the same position. He is good but so are they. I think Bowling has the best bat. You did put Bowling at first but he is a much better catcher.
  24. I agree Kids Fan where is Muncie IMO if he is not the best in the top five for sure in the region. But then again I am a Jason Bowling fan from Owsley too, I think he is in the top ten and myself I think in the top five. I also agree with Sixtyfeetsix by seasons end I think Robert Smith with be up there too. Thats what is going to be so exciting about this season to see these players hold up to their name and I think each and every one of them will.
