  1. They should just make it the WYMT top 50, so all schools can be ranked in it and everyone will be happy!! LOL
  2. I agree Lincoln Co. is the favorite, but what about Wayne Co. or Boyle Co.? Do either of these teams have a chance to make a run come tournament time?
  3. If Elliott Co. goes to the state tournament again, I don't think they will care if they aren't included in the WYMT top ten!! I think we know which is more important in the end!!
  4. I agree, that this will be a tougher game than most would think, but Hazard will pull it out in the end. You are right, Depth will be key!! Hazard 73 Cordia 62
  5. That will win a lot of games for any team! What did Owsley Co. shoot from the line? Just curious to see the difference.
  6. Seems like it would have been the other way, being at Lee Co. So was someone fouled and it was not called, resulting in the win for Hazard. If a foul would have been called would the score be different?
  7. What happened exactly? Could Lee Co. won the game?
  8. Thought it would be close, but not this close!! Lee must have played great! That is how it goes in the tournaments, survive and advance! Good luck Saturday Dawgs!!
  9. I believe the point guards name was Joey Caldwell, but it is not the one that is a KVE officer, cause I know him. The Terrill Wilson was not one of the wins that you are talking about either, but I remember them as well. Maybe I will remember, but no big deal, I was just thinking back. Thanks Scarface!
  10. I remember that team well, played real well in the state tournament that year, I believe they lost to Clay Co. in the 2nd Rd. Greg Couch, Terrill Wilson, and the little left handed point guard were all great players. Scarface, do you remember the name of the point guard that year?
  11. Any score updates from anyone with their radio on? Or is there a link where I can listen on-line? Any info would be great, thanks!!
  12. Should be a great game that could possibly go either way, IMO. Thats what makes tournament games so fun, cause you can throw the records out the door!! Good luck to both teams.
  13. Any updates on the score from anyone down there with there radio on? Thanks!
  14. My son loved Tim Couch and I use to take him to watch Couch play both football and basketball, and it seems they havent had a real good team since that 95-96 District Champ team with Couch, Meade, and the Allen Boy, that lost in the 1st round of the region to eventual champ Breathitt Co. I guess except for the team 2 or 3 years ago with Q. Morgan, Day, and some others I can't remember, I believe this team made to the regional semis or finals, and did this team win the district that year? With the exception of those two teams has there been any other Leslie Co. teams to get out of the District and make it to the regional tournament, if so haw many times? Thanks for any info, just curious.
  15. Is Leslie Co. real young this year, or are they just down? Do they have some good young players coming up out of middle school or good Fresman class? Just curious.
  16. Any tounament game on the road can be tough, but I think the Dawgs will pull away in the end to win by double figures. Hazard 72 Lee Co. 58
  17. If Q-man reads this thread, I know he might be able to tell us who holds the scoring record at Hazard. I am sure it is probably Johnny Cox, but not sure how many it would be.
  18. This game was played at Leslie Co. his Senior year, and he scored 41 points, with about three dunks in the final few minutes. That was the year the Meade kid from Hazard went to Leslie Co. and played with Couch. I remember because some said they combined for the most points in school history, with 71 points combined. Couch had 41 and Meade had 30. If I remember correctly.
  19. He scored either 63 or 69 against someone his Junior year when he lead the state in scoring with 37 points a game. Might have been M.C. Napier, but not a 100% sure.
