  1. Im going to go with Harlan by 20. The Harlan D is TOUGH! Williamsburg hasnt seen anything like them this year. Harlan doesnt have that explosive offense like Somerset but, they will grind the clock down and the Jackets wont have much time to score. Once again Jellico, Mcreary Co, Pineville, and Onieda not a big help in competition. Harlan should win this one.
  2. Playing a tough non-district schedule does help you in the long run. Proof, W'burg, there schedule is weak and it will hurt them down the road. I am not sure if W'burg will make the playoffs because they have it kind of tough now with Harlan and Lynn Camp in there Cawood is getting better too. Im not saying williamsburg is a bad team because the arent they have plent of talent just havent had enough competition yet.
  3. Williamsburg is a good team. They get to much hype though. The non-district schedule they had was horrible. They were playing teams such as Jellico, Mcreary Co., and Knox Central(best team they had played before somerset). To even think about competing against a team like Somerset you have to have some practice. Somerset is a big threat to win the Region good luck to the Jumpers. Also good luck to W'burg for the rest of the season.
  4. I know Corbins record is not great but I know they could beat a couple of teams in the top 10 in 2A. They went toe to toe with Middlesboro. They also went toe to toe with two top 10 3A teams.
  5. It takes more than two players to win any game. Let's play fair and hope no one gets hurt.
  6. Sanders moved to Morristown after the third grade and moved back to Corbin 2nd semester of his Freshman year. Coach Woods of Morristown West wanted to keep him there. He offered to let him live with them. Says a lot for Sanders. West is a tough team year after year.
  7. Words are really easy to come by, but until you walk in any of these boys shoes, a win is a joyous thing!!!!!!!! They work ever so hard and seldom hear a good word from the coaches. At least they are hanging in there and giving it there best. They are young and will get better. Honestly give them a break and read the letter to the editor in last Thursdays Corbin Times, then maybe you will understand.
  8. Does anyone know anything about Jonathan Foreman? Does he get any playing time with LC?
  9. Almost all the HOUNDS played well!!!! Watching Josh Sanders play is a real treat. He puts it all out there and plays with true determination.
  10. That will be up to the coaches. I do know that he is hungry to play again on the home field.
  11. I wish the Hounds luck Friday night, this will be a tough one. It is my understanding that Josh Sanders may be able to play if all goes well on Tuesday. They boys have come a long way and hopefully they can pull this one off also. Never underestimate the HOUNDS!
  12. Let's not forget about Josh Sanders, Soph. He has been out since the Bell Co. game. He showed a lot of heart early on for Corbin.
