There is a rumor that the Briar Jumpers have a alternate gold jersey and supposed to have purple pants and gold pants. I haven't seen them or know if this rumor is true. However I think they will be sharp if we have them.

The Somerset Briar Jumpers will be very good this year. It will all be done by the strong pitching performance by Jordy Molen. This guy has got one of the sickest curveballs in the region. If they will be able to get some hitting they should be able to go far in the region.

Thats pretty crazy ive heard this happening before moving the chains but not this particular case. I don't know about the punishment. A lifetime ban that might be a little harsh. I mean sure it did cost the other team the game. However this is strict i think maybe a 1 year suspension. I don't believe in lifetime ban's like Pete Rose. Come on Selig let him in.

This would be a very good game. I think both teams would match each other in scroing. However Highlands defense last year was unbelievable they was untouchable. I believe they would hold that Knights offense to 3 touchdowns and Highlands ends up winning by a score 0f 35 to 14.

We have a lot to replace here at the Briar Patch we have lost a lot of players. Chad Hinton at the linebacker spot. Ray Norman and Scottie Newell who could play both sides and provided a spark on offense. Matt Salmons who played some very good defense. On the line we lost Kyle Mccoy and Jared Rhodus the starting center and tackle. Also John Jones who was the noseguard on defense. We aslo lose Kyle Spears who was outside linebacker also Chris Ledford which was very good on defense. I think we will be able to re group get are work done in the weight room and be just as good if not better then last year.

Dont really know with us we have strength already so speed probably. i thin kmainly mental more then anything because we are pretty decent right now i think though you always need strength and speed.

Don't understand the logic at all here. I believe that any coach that wants to forfeit a game is a coach who has no confidence in his team his school or his coaching. We played a private school friday night. I know one thing you can't be scared of a school with the last name catholic. Look you have to play the privates it is just a fact but you do have to play them and you play the game to win. I always would like to play a private school because if you were to knock them off that would be huge to your team your school and to the public schools.

I think there is 2 Paintsville and Lynn Camp mine personally is Lynn Camp because we showed the will to win and nothing was going to stop us and it was probably the best game i have ever seen in High School Football.

I tell you what this one will be a dog fight a pure shootout this will be the best game to watch this weekend. Bowling Green's defense is dynamite they have shut down everyone this year. There offense also has been rowling throughout there post season run. The key will be Justin Burke. If they can contain this kid and force pressure and mess up his timing they will win. If they cant do this it will come down to who has the ball last. I think Burke in his last game finally gets a state title for L CATH

I am pulling for Mayfield because they are publice and would be cool to see them knock off the people proclaimed hottest team right now. An I think they have a real chance however they cant do it running the ball the must throw because New Caths line and linebackers are too fast for i think any team. NCC just needs to play there game to win this one and must score points. If it gets to be close mayfield pulls it out because NEWCATH as nbot done well in close games this season

I am going to say Coach Jay Cobb for Coach of the year at least class A. I know i am biased to the team but look at what he has done this year. This tema has got know respect or anything the whole year they have just came out and played week in and week out and won Somerset it's first regional title since 1999 and the first 12 win season since i dont know how long. He has done a lot to this team in preperation and giving them the motivation to just go out there and have fun. Which has worked this year and done it with players some people have not heard of. He has truly turned this team around from a 5-6 record to a 12-2 record and only one game away from the big show. If I had a vote it would be him for sure.

MAn I dont know this is a issue that i think needs to split. I feel there are to sides. Personally i want it to split well because we got beat by Newport friday night which dressed 60 kids and we only had about 40. However i feel that is not the reason why we lost. But anyways if you truly want to beat the best team from your class and say you are truly the number 1 team in the class ytou have to play the private school you cant say you are the number 1 public school in the state. I mean its like the old saying to be the best you have to beat the best. But 5 out of the 8 teams playing for the state title is pretty ridiculous and it is hard to believe who would win 4a if there was a split that thing has been won byu private schools forever. So in someways i am for it and in other ways im not. But if i had to vote i would vote for the split

Burke Should and WILL WIN THE MR. FOOTBALL this guy is unreal he is dynamite every game. I believe he grew up and showed his stuff against St. X even though he lost he put everything on the line. His numbers are great also and he can play for any team in the state and be productive he seams like the type of quaterback from what ive heard makes everyone around him better. This guy will go on to be great in the NCAA and I think we will see him on Sundays if he continues to progress and play. Does anyone no though why he chose NC State was that his best offer or what cause he seems like he could play for any team and teams would want him.

Bullit East has been playing some great football lately and I believe it continues. This is Boyle County though so they have a lot to play for. However the Bullit East team is undefeated and is playing at there place. It is too much for the Rebs to overcome I predict Boyle loses ina close one.

Paintsville has looked very good as of late since that embarassing loss to pikeville. If this team comes out and plays there game they will be tough. However the speed and overall talent of somerset is far to much for them. I believe somerset will slow down if not stop there running game there by giving somerset the win. I feel they stop pue who has been there mr everything and at the end of the night someset goes to meet and play for a spot in state. I am pumped and ready to watch this it will be a dog fight.

You have to go with Highlands. The coach of Lex Cath always shows a way to lose the big games they loose by a couple in this one. Too much speed for lex cath. Also Highlands knows how to hit somebody. They will find a way to tame Justin Burke and the Knights go home and think of what could have been.
