  1. I don't really see any reason that would benefit PNC right now.

Well, lets see...PNC would take more of the market share that they are currently splitting with Nat City (retail)...and would also be buying Nat City for about .10-.20 cents on the dollar. Value investing.

  2. ...or perhaps the LCA player said something to the official...that's a possibility as well...in any case, it didn't seem LCA's coach was all too upset about it as officiating or penalties weren't even mentioned in the newspaper write-up about the game:

As I have stated in earlier posts...the officiating was questionable. But, the Raceland kids played their tales off and took it too LCA. Raceland deserved too win the game and I think Coach Rains would be the last person to make excuses.

  3. It was a kick to the face, that's just like throwing a punch. Which is a personal foul and automatic ejection. The quarter back was giving his reciever a mouth full. He knew just like everybody else he was in the wrong. They will probably appeal, but I promise it won't be over-turned. If you don't think it changed the out come of the game, why complain about it?

It was not a kick to the face...

  4. Great game to watch...Both teams played hard to the very end. Raceland deserved the win. They had a great game plan and executed it well.

Now...there is NO way anyway can say that game was officiated "great". While I dont think it probably effected the outcome, the disparity in the number of penalties called was crazy. I think I heard them say after the game it was 16 - 2. LCA was called for 2 holding penalties on the last drive alone. Holding could be called on every play. I was standing right in front of the personal foul too...while it can be debated about whether it should have even been called...there is NO WAY that is an ejectable PF. I wouldnt be suprised if LCA appeals the ejection and the kid plays next week.

As I said earlier though...I do not think this changed the outcome of the game. Raceland took it too LCA tonight. It did look as though LCA may have finally found some defense in the second half.

    Congrats Rams!

  5. I think you are all right! Its gonna take all of the above. We need more mass transit in this country...but we also need alternative fuels...natural gas being one of them. But, we DO NOT need CNG! We need GTL! Can you imagine every home with a gas compressor? Talk about homeland security issues. BTW...CNG means compressed natural gas and GTL means gas to liquids (not trying to insult, but some might not know). Why GTL is better is that it can be blended with other forms of diesel. You can then have a diversity of coal to liquids, GTL, and Biodiesel. By going this way...you can start phasing in your bio-crops. Also, by using a gasifier to combine all of the hydro carbons you can control your emmissions. You can capture the C02 and pump it too algae farms to help grow this source of fuel. As a matter of fact...there is a KY company working on this "energy farm" as we speak.

  6. I can tell you this...if you "just" focus on Hayden...Whitt will kill you. He had a 50yd run called back against Lloyd. LCA is not a one dimensional offense. LCA will put points on the board Friday night...the real answer might be the first one to 40 wins...

  7. If the rich people are upset that they don't pay enough taxes and their taxes should be raised, can't they just pay more taxes and refuse deductions and refunds?

I wonder if any of the Hollyweird folk or even Biden or Obama pay EXTRA taxes PRESENTLY? Or do they pay JUST what the government says they should pay.

I have posted the same thing in this thread and in another...These people make comments about our taxes needing to be raised and then they take deductions. They can also CHOOSE to pay a higher rate...just like everyone else can.

  8. Oh no, they'll go from making 50 million to 45 million dollars a year. Who cares that the middle class and poor are suffering now, I mean there's a lot more rich people in the U.S.

This is garbage. I own several "small" business'...and i am NOT rich! Very few...and I mean VERY few...people make "45 million". Many of my small business' have several employees that make more than I do off the business...and I'm the owner.

  9. This could quite possibly be the funniest thread I have ever read. The Dems are trying so hard to discredit Palin as a "reformer/anti-earmark" candidate over this one issue. When she drastically cut her states budget. She probably did overstate her stance on the bridge.

Give me ANY...ANY...politicians speech and I will show overstatements.

Obama needs to get his team off of this issue and start talking about things that many really care about. And if you dont think this is true, then look at the latest polls. When Obama is only up 5pts in NY then he has bigger problems than a "bridge to nowhere".

  10. The markets will rebound...There was a significant amount of liquidity added to the market last night domestically and internationally. In the ballpark of $200B. The fact of the matter is Lehman is a company who made some suspect decisions and is now paying the consequences. M Lynch was purchased at a PREMIUM for what the stock was trading at yesterday...what it was trading at last year has no consequence. There are many stocks that are trading lower than they were last year...as there are many that are trading higher than last year.

But like Biden said...This is Bush's and McCains fault!!!

  11. I think they've got a good nucleus of players to build a program around. If they keep playing hard, I think that will attract others that want to be a part.

I agree Bluto...they have a VERY good running back and that LB was all over the field. That kid could play LB anywhere in the state.
