The grade school is a great feeder program. Could you imagine the team they would have went to the high school from Betsy Layne. For Example: honaker brothers Pikeville both Tyler Hamilton Prestonsburg and Pike Central Justin Slone to South Floyd Darrick Williams to South Floyd Jonathan Blair to Prestonsburg How do you keep the boy's from going up or down the road from Betsy Layne? I guess that is the question.

Dwight Jarrell would be the best for the job, but him not being certified hurts him. I think he is the greatest coach I have ever seen. This guy is a three sport coach. He is a hot prospect.

Being a Betsy Layne football fan. I was wondering what is the steps for getting this program going?

I have heard well over twenty individuals have applied.

Betsy Layne will be out of districe one more year and then they shall be in a district. The district will hopefully be single A and I think playing a single A district, they may be able to compete with some teams. Is there anymore talk of coaches besides Bubba and stevens.

Who is Wayne Stevens?

Would Bubba be interested? Does he teach?

Betsy Layne Elementary has some prime time athletes, I was just wondering if there are anyone interested.

Bill, was a terrific player, but he has no interest in playing football at the next level.

I think they were well coached, the guys was taught some basic fundamentals, but I think Bill has decided to go to a technical school and not play football. Which is a shame. Bill and the rest of the seniors will be sadly missed next year.

I think his g.p.a.+his a.c.t.+ his weight lifting is causing some D1 schools to be interested. I dont thing Bill is ready for the D1 but hopefully by the end of the season he will go somewhere.

Bill has received letters from Kentucky, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Maimi(Ohio) not sure if they are division 1.

I know the team real well, and Bill is a giant. He put weight on in later winter, to see if he can match up better when he gets to division 1. I think the Betsy Layne team has a few of superstars in the making with Brennan Case-QB, Brandon Blair-hb and Frankie Stanley at O-line/linebacker. The Betsy Layne team might take some lumps this year, but they are very young. This Friday is another rought game with Cumberland. Anyone know anything about Cumberland?

Bill collins is Senior six foot and 245 Ed Osborne is Senior five eight and 180 Brennan Case sophomore six foot and 155 Brandon Blair sophomore five eight and 195

Bill collins is playing full back this year. He is really talented and getting calls from numerous division one college. Ed Osborne is a great back, but didn't play last year. Brandon Kidd and quit the team, not sure why. Great young and up and coming quarterback named Brennan Case. He really seems like a talented kid. There is also a back that I think people will here a lot about in the future which is Brandon Blair. He was a real bright spot for the team.
