  1. Can someone tell me or PM me the link that has the Kentucky Helmet Avatars? Thanks.
  2. I'd say he'll remember the 5-6 personal fouls in the 4th quarter, one player ejection, one player pushing a coach, and another player refusing to go in the game. Trully a bad showing for North from what I understand.
  3. He quit at WKU shortly after spring practice. Rumors saying that he knew he wasn't going to ever get playing time.
  4. They couldn't get anything rolling except for Belly. That's about the only play that was successful for them. The Panthers also picked up two fumbles for TD.
  5. Very good chance East could run away with this one 2+ TD's. JMO.
  6. I would like to hear some more about Trigg. From what I heard, this is one of the smaller teams they've fielded since Higgins arrived. I would expect the full out screen attack by Higgins much like his first couple of years when he was building the program to his liking.
  7. Muhlenberg North apparently, according to their website they are going 10-0. Then next year and to infinity they will be running the new class 4A. Thanks to whoever linked me.
  8. Not being a butt here, but explain to me how X and T is the biggest rivalry? What because of media coverage? Attendance? A rivalry is as big as you make it, and to be honest I want to know outside of X and T alumni, fans, louisville media, and parents, how many people care about this "so-called" biggest game in the state? IMO a rivalry is what you make it. Made up for different reasons whether it be how many times played, traditionally evenly matched teams, county showdowns, city showdowns, etc.
  9. '47 Tilghman is pretty accurate, my grandfather played for the mid-late 40's Tornado teams that were on top or always near top the state. Was it Tilghman-Augusta or something along those lines back then?
  10. Hmmm like he did @ Graves and Ballard Memorial? Those are just recent. It's not that Jack won't leave them a decent program, he will. But, I don't see them over-achieving like they do now when he's gone. They will fall off JMO.
  11. Even if the Tilghman plays up, they'll be traveling to Hopkins Central and Muhlenberg North. Their closest games being down the road @ Lone Oak and Calloway County. Not much of a change for Muhlenberg South and Webster, they are used to 1-3 trips to Paducah (Heath, Reidland, and Lone Oak) every year, and Union is right up the road from Webster. The talent level isn't the same as it used to be @ Tilghman IMO. But, they would be the perennial preseason pick to win the district if they played up or stayed. The only team playing up that would pose and of the slightest problem is Hopkins Central, and Lone Oak will fall off as soon as Haskins leaves (and I believe his grandson is a senior this year?).
  12. You really think so? Did they graduate most of their offensive line?
  13. That was what was told to me last year when a player from the WKY area wasn't invited on the team. The pendulum swings both ways and I guess some ppl don't like it.
  14. Sending kids to college in any shape or form. An education lasts a lifetime, a state championship doesn't (as much as I would love to see my team have one), don't want to end up like those sad farts on Friday Night Lights running around town saying "gotta get you one of these guys, get ya a state championship" as he speaks with his morbidly obese wife with a mullet and poverty strickened baby standing next to him. :sssh: Both would be the best bet I would think.
  15. Madisonville-North Hopkins Paducah Tilghman
  16. I think Muhl. South had the best Titan spin off I've seen. When I saw them play last season, they had stopped using it for some reason.
  17. I like 6, but with all the consolidation talk of several places across the state it would be interesting to see how things pan out.
  18. The point of the play though is deception of kids not knowing the rules, that when the pass to the reciever behind the line of scrimmage hits the ground. Sometimes the defense thinks it's an incomplete pass. It takes a lot of acting out of the reciever to get it to work. My favorite trick play of all time which is very illegal now is "wrong ball", but since they ruled out the side-snap you can't run it effectively. Jack Haskins @ Lone Oak still tries to run the Lonesome Polecat, and Fort Campbell busted them on it last season. The reciever never came within the numbers or X feet of the huddle pre-play and the FC defensive backs started yelling polecat polecat...the refs finally looked up and threw the flag. Legend or myth also says that Mojo Hollowell @ Catholic would send in an extra man on kick off coverage once the line judge went by after the kick was off.
  19. That goes to the old trick play where the QB throws (skips the ball off the ground) to the slot lined up behind the line. 9 times out of 10 the defense thinks it's an incomplete pass and the reciever can throw it to someone running downfield uncovered. I don't know if you can still do that, but it's still deception...though creative.
  20. Just a couple of 9 win seasons for Greenville in football. Yes there was football @ Greenville High School for 15 years before the consolidation. Also Central City had football before Vietnam (I think), but something happened to the program. Secondly, their so-called district in basketball before the new one districts had three teams in it, so yeh they should win a few district titles. And their success @ Muhlenberg North has been based on the demise of every other sports program in the school. Players are encouraged to not play other sports besides baseball or golf which are other just ran by the political powers at the school I would say. That place is a wasteland for any coach of a sport besides basketball.
  21. He'll do a good job there. I've enjoyed watching Trigg over the past few years even though it wasn't always the best time for my team. I wonder if Colby Lewis or any of the other Trigg guys will be joining him.
  22. Hardest hit I've seen in high school was two 4A schools in WKY were playing in the first round of the playoffs a couple of years back. A kid was returning a kick off and he absolutely got blasted, it was nasty. He jumps up real quick, runs off to the wrong side lines at about the 15 yard line with a concussion and a completely seperated shoulder, limping like a deer that's been hit by a truck. As soon as he got to the sideline, he dropped like someone shot him with a rifle. When I look back on it, the chain of events is funny because the player jump up real fast, hobbled off the field then just dropped. It was like a total re-enactment of a deer getting hit by a vehicle.
  23. Why the ellipses? Is it cool to be sarcastic? Maybe I didn't have time to go to San Diego's site at the time and find out. Your cool.
  24. That's cool. Is Jim Harbaugh still the head coach there?
