RedBlood if you would of read the post. He did not play Scott Co. Gifford, Mack, Jaren Thomas, Dunaway or Miller, Haddix or Walls all can score like that but they are playing on TEAMS . If you know basketball its the facts. Owens is very good player on an average team. There is no comparing the best players in the 11th to the 16th region. That is not fair to those kids. The point is talent across the board. Who in the 16th region can stop owens 1 on 1.

No disrespect to Owens. I have known Antonio for a very long time and I am sure more than any of you lions fans that are fortunate to see him play now. You take the best player off the best 6 teams in the 11th and everyone of them would probably be putting up numbers that he is. Since Mayo and Walker left he is the best athlete to play in the 16th region. Watching him play against Holmes summed it up. Good athletic teams will not let a player like Owens score like that because of the same type of player that has the quicknesss as well as the scoring power he has. I would love to see Owens in the Sweet 16 but as we all know the 16th is one and done unless they get a good draw. As far as schedules the Lions have played the toughest in the region so far. I am not a hater just a realist.

Antonio does not fit in at Lafayette or Scott Co's system. There are alot of good players on both of those teams and both of those coaches are not gonna let him shoot anytime he wants and besides he cannot score like that at both of those schools with the schedules that they play. He is a scorer and I do not care who you are playing that still is putting up some serious offense. Congrats! Also Antonios sister starts for the Scott Co's girls team. Gifted family as far as athleticism. I think Boyd is still second best in the 16th. For them to win the region they will have to get a couple of more kids involved.
