  1. ^When he get's caught with "Pot in a bottle" we can talk about it.
  2. ^They will, now that their record breaking running back will be graduating. They will have Quentin's younger brother, Jimmy Jo, who will be a Junior, & he should be improved from last season.
  3. Vince Carter, Nets Carter can opt out of the last year of his contract ($16.4 million) and become a free agent, so it might make sense for the Nets to move him now rather than risk losing him for nothing. The Magic, Grizzlies and Clippers are said to be interested, but they would want a guarantee from Carter that he's not going to leave. This all but rules out a deal for Gasol, as much as Nets GM Rod Thorn would love to have the 7-footer in his lineup. Orlando, which can offer Grant Hill's expiring contract, seems far more promising. During All-Star Weekend, Rockets forward Tracy McGrady said he hadn't talked to Carter but felt that his cousin would probably like to play in Orlando with Dwight Howard. "He built a home down there, grew up 25-30 minutes away from there," McGrady said. "I think it would make them a contender in the East for years to come." si.com
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=sheridan_chris&id=2699963 NEW YORK -- About a minute or two before the Knicks-Nuggets brawl erupted Saturday night in Madison Square Garden, New York coach Isiah Thomas mentioned to Denver star Carmelo Anthony that it wouldn't be a good idea to go anywhere near the paint, according to a member of the Denver Nuggets organization.
  5. Hazard would not have won anyway but Hicks having 28 of the Bulldogs 40 points is pretty funny....with or without the players out
  6. Sucker punch by Melo & he starts jogging backwards....What a meow meow...That was a weak punch BTW. It was a half punch/half slap.
  7. I beleive there is a big difference in JBS & PCC. JBS & Hazard are by thereselves at the top 2 positions in the 14th. The rest are a little ways behind both.
  8. I heard that Tenn. was supposed to come to the tournament at Perry Central to check out Miller. I would think that this would be a good idea if they were interested since that is probably the closest place to Tenn. that Mason plays.
  9. Too much complaining from Corbin fans on this thread. The fact is the better team won tonight & you can't blame players for "flopping" when they know when they do they get the call. That's called smart play & good coaching. Crawford seems to be a real nice player...Where is he going to college again ????
  10. With Leslie not having a true big man, it will be tough for the Eagles this season to produce inside. I don't think Leslie has a player over 6'1. They are a good shooting team however but that will not take them very far.
  11. Great game tonight at Perry Central. Miller is a great athlete as he had 3 dunks tonight I believe. He gave Stepp problems tonight as he guarded him but Stepp was able to get his points. Nobody thought JBS could come within 15-20 points of Mason besides the JBS & there fans. Miller can do it all. After he dunked one, the next offensive possession he comes down & strokes a three. Very exciting player to watch. The gym went wild after the Miller dunks because being in the mountains, you don't really get to see to many dunks. Especially 3 in one game. The 14th region will most likely not produce 1 dunk all season. But again, great game to watch & I'll try & be there tomorrow to watch Mason take on the #3 team in the 14th region. I guess you can say JBS played pretty good against the #3 team in the state. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  12. According to league sources, the Nuggets are leading the race for Iverson by working aggressively to meet the demands of Philadelphia, which seeks the salary-cap flexibility provided by expiring contracts of veteran players and the draft picks required to rebuild its roster. With two first-round picks in the 2007 draft, the Nuggets have positioned themselves in "the driver's seat" and are "leading the pack" against league rivals also looking to acquire Iverson, according to a source familiar with negotiations. It's a complicated trade, however, that would involve at least five players, three teams and two draft choices, plus the approval of Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke and Sixers chairman Ed Snider. http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_4843602 December 15
  13. Dec 14 - A source said yesterday that the Nuggets might be trying to involve a third team, the Portland Trail Blazers, in the deal. The proposed trade would send forward Nene to the Trail Blazers, who then would ship center Jamaal Magloire to the Sixers. The Nuggets would send another player, possibly former Sixer Joe Smith, to the Sixers, and the Sixers would direct Iverson to Denver. The source also said the Warriors might be out of the running for Iverson. -- Philadelphia Inquirer Minnesota, Golden State, and Denver remain the front-runners, with Dallas, Indiana, Chicago, and the Clippers other possibilities. -- Boston Globe
  14. Sixers GM Billy King told another Eastern Conference executive last night that he has "two deals on the table, ready to go." One of the deals King was strongly considering is with Golden State, for point guard Baron Davis, center Andris Biedrins and a third unidentified player. In addition to Iverson, the Warriors would get backup center Steven Hunter. While a source close to one of the players involved called the deal "done," the Sixers remain quiet about where they will be sending Iverson. -- New York Daily News
  15. December 13 NBA Insider A source indicated tonight that the Nuggets are looking for an Iverson-trade alternative that might involve working a three-way deal involving the Portland Trail Blazers. Denver would send forward Nene to the Trail Blazers and another player, possibly Joe Smith, back to the Sixers, in return for Philly's All-Star point guard. Portland then would ship center Jamaal Magliore, who's in the last contract year this year, to the Sixers. -- Philadelphia Inquirer
