Still 20-12 Pikeville leading. The announcers are continously talking about the field conditions at Memorial Field. I dont think either team has positive yards in the second half.

Well, there goes my theory. I at least thought we would play the starters for one more series in the second half. Especially for the seniors. Oh well, Coach has a lot more class than I do, i guess.

I would say the low score from M-boro is a combination of two things. One is the weather and the other would be them possibly overlooking the Eagles after a big win last week. The Jackets should come out the second half and wake up.

That really doesnt sound right. Would be quite a shocking score.

I would like to see Coach play the starters a little more in the second half. I know hes probably thinking of giving some more players a little PT but the playoffs are here now and the little things among the starters are what we need to work on right now.

Looks like Belfry is working on some new wrinkles right now. Maybe they need to work on some new way to cover kicks. Man, two games in a row where the special teams gives up a big play. Luckily the defense stepped up. That crap had better change or come playoff time it will destroy them.

It sounds to me like you think SC has to play a perfect game to beat the Pirates? Im not sure thats the case. I believe if they can accomplish only the first two on your list they have an outstanding chance in this game.

Final

Its usually the same thing when Belfry plays a big game. If we hold on the ball and play with some intensity we usually end up alright. It will be hard to match SC's intensity at the beginning of the game next week. Hopefully we can put up an early lead and put a stop to it.

Hey OJW I guess the halftime score just woke up the Cardinals. I believe we could see a very good game next week. I just hope the Pirates can pull it out.

Apparently the Pirate defense is showing much improvement after last week. I really thought P-burgs offense would give us some trouble tonight. Looks like weve shut them down pretty much the whole night. P-burg cant have more than a 100 yards of total offense all night.

SC is now wearing down SV. Another long time consuming drive for the Cardinals. SV has spent a lot of time on the field this game. The low numbers for SV are starting to show. Sheldon Clark 28 Shelby Valley 6 End of the 3rd quarter.

This game is starting to get out of hand. Unsportsmanlike penalties are being thrown and cops have been told to move all fans away from the field. The announcers are saying both teams are taking cheap shots at every chance.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with that. Take away Belfry's fumbles and mental mistakes and Pikeville's penalties and mistakes and I still feel like Belfry is still the better team. Just barely but still a little better.

Actually Belfry's narrow win against Pikeville says a lot about the Pirates. Pikeville is much improved and it was a road game against a quality opponent. Belfry showed a ton of guts to put together their last TD drive. They could have easily folded after the Pikeville TD. But yes I agree this district could very well be wide open.
