  1. I have it. I wouldn't be suprised to see it offered everywhere in the next year or two as it is evolving. There was talk today that a new 24 hour baseball channel is coming out and will be offered everywhere. This will put heat on the NFL network.
  2. Plain and simple Anderson' play last year saved a lot of coaches etc job. They couldn't just let him go so they worked out a contract that protected them for half year to see what they had in him. The higher ups let Romeo know that it was time for a change this week vs a bad Denver defense.
  3. Quinn looks great completing 10 in a row but the Broncos defense is horrible! Woodyard has been their heart and soul thus far. I just got up in J. Lewis grill:)
  4. I took your alls advice and took VT-3 and Utah +2 for a little tonight. I've had a great week since Sat.
  5. Ball of mud... that is funny but probably true. Makes me think about "Wilson" in the movie Tom Hanks was in when he was stranded on the island.
  6. I think I'm pretty tolerant as long as I'm not being judged or beat down because I don't share the same opinion. I always looked at Religion in a way that I grew up in church thanks to my parents. I used to wonder about say somebody that is in a tribe in a different country that doesn't even know Christianity exists. Why should they be condemed if they don't even know it's out there. I think if my parents were Muslims and I grew up in a Muslim family/culture then odds are I would probably be Muslim too. I think you have to try to put yourself in other people's shoes to truly try to undrstand decisons they make.
  7. He has gone from as good as there is too bad. He's forcing to much and some of it is because they aren't running the football IMO. They put 2 backs on the IR, Young is hurt and now Torain is hurting. They are down to their fullback! Scheffler is also hurt but playing.
  8. I have Quin, Winslow and Marshall starting in my big money league. I had Romo + McNabb but Romo got hurt. Traded for Schaub and he was productive then he got hurt. I've been sitting on Quinn all year and had to start him too (2 QB's). He is playing really well and Winslow is racking up points too. I also sat on Torain and almost started him instead of M. Lynch. He had like 10 carries for 60+ yds then got hurt. Glad I didn't start him now. He does have a TD.
  9. I read where Obama was talking about raising minimum wage by 46%. Is it me or will this not KILL small business/jobs? Small business won't be able to afford paying everybody thus cutting jobs. This could also make a lot of small business close their doors IMO. What does everybody else think?
  10. This is a great analogy and I agree HB20 you have done a great job opening my eyes to some things in this thread. I do feel like there is a double standard that goes on but I see thing a little different than I did when I started the thread.
  11. This is what I told my upset mother yesterday. If you have faith in God then I think you have to believe his will is more important than your wishes. So I say Yes. I don't agree with everything (a lot of things) Obama stands for but I think you have to have trust in God + pray for all of our leaders. JMO
  12. Walker was hurt to start the year and I don't know if he is fully healthy yet. It just hit me but how bad to you have to be to get cut by the Raiders after signing for millions!
  13. I was hesitant to start this thread but am glad I did. This is an eye opener for me somewhat.
  14. My 1st thought is that is a cop out. I think prejudice is prejudice but I think you have to be careful generalizing. Each individual has had their own experiences to shape who they are.
  15. I don't think all of those people are racist but 98-2? Ohio was the only state I saw.
  16. It's really bad where I'm from too but I can also say it was bad the other way when I taught school in Lex.
  17. That's good! I would like to know how other feel inside without slamming each other. Sometimes I feel like I should be shamed for being a white man when I have done nothing in my lifetime to degrade the other races. In fact I've coached a lot of kids, mentored a lot of kids, taken Christmas presents to families in downtown Louisville etc for humans of other races. I guess I just get tired of people trying to make all white males feel like they are dirt for things that happened before I was alive. I have done workshops where I was the minority and it wasn't fun at all. I've been in situations where I was the minority and it wasn't fun at all. In the end my view is we are all humans and we all have a heart. I am very empathtic to what has happened in the past but I don't think it's fair to judge everybody the same. To me there are good and bad people no matter the color of skin. My heros growin up were my parents. After that it was Ronnie Lott and Michael Jordan. I never gave any thought to them being of another skin color yet when I see people not agreeing with everything Obama says I see the race card played a lot. I'll be the first to say that I am really disappointed in Bush and I voted for him. I don't know, I guess I get frustrated sometimes and wonder if others feel the same way.
  18. Forgot about you being an Eagles man (that beagle line in the other thread by you is funny). If you get down on your luck then send it too me again and I'm in as long as they stay healthy.:thumb:
  19. He has got serious game especially in the field! Congrats!
  20. I would honestly like to have a civil conversation on this topic. If it can't be civil then close it. I grew up in an area that didn't have much diversity. I went to college and made close friends from different backgrounds. I have since coached with guys of other races and taken a lot of kids under my wing that aren't the same color skin as me but have a heart just like mine. 2 questions I have: 1. With Obama winning the election does this show that racism is at an all time low? 2. The breakdown of Ohio showed that White folks voted I think it was 52% McCain and 48% Obama. It also showed African American voters voted 98% Obama and 2 % McCain. Is it me or would there have been a major uproar if this was flip flopped? If this can't be discussed in an intelligent way without smearing races etc then close it. I just wonder if others question the things I do? I read the race thing at the top of the page and don't feel like this is smearing anybody or anything. I just wonder how other Americans feel as far as our progress and if things have shifted somewhat. I continue to have close friends of different races and always will I just feel like there is a double standard sometimes.
  21. She is very attractive for somebody her age that has had that many kids too!
