Bluegrasspreps.com is giving you a chance to show off your football knowledge statewide! The Bluegrasspreps Regional Pick 'em gives you a chance to pick games in different parts of the state for prizes EACH WEEK. There will be five regional contests every week. You will have a chance to pick the winners in each region -- NKY, EKY, Lexington/Central Ky, Louisville, and WKY. Each region will have five games to pick from each week. We pick the games, and you will pick the winner of each game, assigning your picks a point value of 7-5-3-2-1. The first tiebreaker is picking the team (of the ten teams in the contest) that scores the most points. You don't have to pick the highest scoring team, you just have to pick a team that scores more points than the team(s) picked by the member(s) you are tied with. The second tiebreaker is time. This is a season long contest and you can enter in any or all regions that you wish. At the end of the regular season, the winner of each region and the next five highest point totals statewide (the Wild cards) will compete during the playoffs for statewide bragging rights on Bluegrasspreps. If you win more than one position in the postseason playoff, then your second slot will go to the next Wild card. The best part is, if you win a weekly contest, you will receive a quality prize. Final from Mount Vernon. Rockcastle had 6 turnovers tonight (I said 7 in the update thread so sorry for the mistake). Rockets improver to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the district. Lakers fall to 6-1 overall and 0-1 in the district. What a game...wish I would have went now. Rockcastle scored first in overtime and converted the 2pt. conversion. Russell County scored on the third play in their OT possession and the 2pt. conversion pass was incomplete.

The 2-point conversion is INCOMPLETE! Rockets win 29-27 as the fans rush the field. Rockets win on homecoming night.

3rd down for Russell County and the Lakers call a reverse and Blake Ellis scores. Lakers have to go for 2. Timeout Lakers.

Chris Luna scores from 10 yards out on the first play to put the Rockets up 27-21. Rockcastle seems to be going for the 2-pt conversion...the kicker was hobbling around earlier so that is probably why they're going for it. BB Bradley converts!!! Rockcastle County leads 29-21.

I guess the field goal attempt was no good as the broadcasters are reminding the fans of the overtime rules.

Russell County has 4th and 4 and Rockcastle County stops the clock with 1:41 to go.

On 4th & 14 inside Russell County territory, McPhetridge throws an interception. Russell County takes over on their own 6 yard line.

Reams gets a big gain on the kickoff as he fielded the ball at the 3 and took it for a 44 yard gain to the Rock 47.

Britt scores from two yards out. The extra point attempt is good. With 5:51 remaining in the game, it is now Rockcastle County 21 Russell County 21. Not sure on the number of turnovers for the Lakers, but rockcastle has amasses five turnovers tonight. Can't keep on doing that if they want to win.

Rockcastle County forces a punt after 3rd and forever...the punt is fumbled and Russell County recovers deep inside Rockets territory.

Heading into the 4th quarter, Rockcastle has the ball close to midfield as they nurse a 21-14 lead. Got to clamp down and hold on Rockets! This could possibly decide the #1 seed in the district in the playoffs.
