Tonight Coach Whitaker became the 3rd baseball coach in KHSAA history to reach the 1K club in wins. He is now only 6 wins away from tying Coach Gumm from Green County for 2nd place on the all time wins list. His record now stands at 1000-295 and that includes 4 state titles and 2 state runners up, all at Harrison County a rural school. He has consistently put out a winner for the past 37 years and competed against some of the best in the state and the nation. He has been honored as both the state and national coach of the year. Congrats to Coach Mac Whitaker on such a milestone accomplishment!

I based it on their schedule. They have only been out of 1 game with a tough early slate. The 10th is fairly weak this year. I think Bourbon is the clear favorite early on.

I have played and coached in sleet/snow. I would say if the wind chill is 32 or below it is too cold. If it were 45 and up, colleges wouldn't be able to play half of their games.

That will really change Harrison's district with Cov. Cath. and Highlands moving up. (Thank God!) I wonder if they make a Harrison, Bourbon, Franklin, East Jess., West Jess. district or keep the Breds up north with maybe Scott, Holmes, and Mason.
