I actually wondered the same thing but not sure. Woody was first trying to draw them off and that didn't work. He then looked back at Edge and he signaled in the play. Woody was probably shocked he called it in. There is no doubt in my mind without that drive and score we would have lost. But its not a call I would have made being down 5 in the 2nd. But now Im glad they did! :thumb:

That has been the key last 2 games. Trigg looked like they played through 3 Ot's by half. FC was more conditioned but it hit them late in the 3rd and early 4th. If their role players play both ways, they better be in excellent shape.

That was the gutsiest call I have seen in a long time, considering it was 2nd qtr and only down by 5. This was an amazing game all the way around. If you would have told me the night before the game we would have 5 turnovers and still pull this thing out, I would have laughed in your face. The Catholic kids are truly amazing. Coaches also did excellent game planning for this. :thumb: Only complaint, Catholic fans did a great job making noise but lets make the noise when we are on D and not O. Fans got way too loud late in the game when we are on O. If I remember right we jumped offsides when this was going on.

Problem is if they put 2 people on #80 their is going to be another one open. Too many weapons to contend with on this O. Last night was the most UNBELEIVABLE game I have ever witnessed. :thumb:

I think our D-line will be key this week. They must get some pressure in the backfield like they did last week.

That's true...he could have had the dropsies in practice. He is one heck of a blocker.

Not sure what the reasoning was, but I would have gave Ijames more carries against Trigg. Would like to see them mix it up more this week between him and Kamuf. He is averaging over 7 yds a carry, give him the ball!

It wasn't that bad 2 years ago....It was pretty crowded but moved faster than I thought it would.

Way to Go Billy!! Have to keep our thread going. Regional Championship: Catholic - 28 -- Ft. Campbell - 23 I too believe the state championship will be decided in this game. This will be quite a show and atmosphere. I remember 2 years ago down there, and there is nothing compared to it. I go to many NFL games and nothing compares to this. Catholic will bring over 2000 fans. I also agree, FC has seen nothing like what Catholic brings to the table on offense. The hurry up offense will fatigue their players if they go both ways. A solid defensive effort and no turnovers will be key for the Aces to come away victorious. :thumb:

Don't think so Jack, 03 & 04 had all the expectations with Barnard and Co. This year was just a big question mark. They just happened to turn out a VERY solid ball club in all phases. FC is ranked #1 with all the D1 prospects not us.....

I heard this happened. Any idea what the fan said to him? This was mainly what I was referring to in my previous post. This kind of stuff can't have a good affect on the players. He blew up after the late hit Ijames put on the Trigg player, and from my view it wasn't that late. I agree these kids need tough coaching but there is a point where you have to leave the fans and parents out of it and focus only whats happening on the field. OF course all of this is easier said than done. I might have had the same reaction if I was in his shoes. But I agree, he has done an excellent job and with age he should mellow...

If the Fort does not do it this year, they never will..... Will be intersting to see how they respond as pressure builds this week.

I think getting the new stadium is going to help out with enrollment. Once kids see this masterpiece in tact they will be flocking in.

I have to agree with you there, they do seem to get too relaxed when they get the big lead...but I also think our offense got a bit conservative a little too early. I thought Norcia was a vital key in this game, he made a couple of huge catches and especially the one on 4 and 13 that he caught for td. Holland also was key along with the D.. :thumb: I would have liked to seen Ijames take a few more carries last night. Woodward threw for 255 3td's Aces had 108 yds rushing

Great game by the ACES!!!!!!! Trigg just couldn't keep up with our offense. I have never seen a team so tired. They looked like they played through 4 overtimes.... Gonna be a dandy next week at the Fort... One thing I would like to see is for some of our coaches is to keep better cool...seems to affect the team in a negative way. I realize there is alot on the line but there is just a point where it can go too far.

If I remember right they lost 11 starters total. Some others are the Young twins, Blandford, Boarman...

One thing that has been impressive is Catholic's red zone D. I have seen a few teams this year break the big run but can't covert it into points in the red zone.

Since the Owensboro game they have done an excellent job holding on to the ball.

Your exactly right....If they can get Woody some time he will pick the D apart.
