Top teams this year Boone HHS Conner NDA NewCath It will come down to what teams share the ball. The last four mentioned do not "share" very well. To many "I"s. Boone even with the loses of Findley, Brassauex, and Sparrow(injured) still have Behren's and Bradley the best 1 - 2 punch in the region. Come tourney time they have 2 clutch players one outside, one outside/inside that will be difficult to handle, not to mention Sparrow should be at full strength and provide an additional outside threat as well. Oh yeah they still have the top coach!!

No just being facetiuos to the OLDGUY. That someone can make a general statement about there being 1 to 3 teams a year competing for a regional title and he feels the need to try and disprove their opinion. The fact is that it usually does comes down to 1-3 teams a year. When was the last time a team outside of the ranked top 3 in the final polls won a title? Or a team outside the pre-season top 3 for that matter?

First off get your facts straight! NDA last won the region in 1987. So they have won the region once in 20 something years. I am guessing that they are not 1 of the 3 teams mentioned earlier. The three are Boone, NCC, and HHS are the usual suspects for the regional title, if history is the indicater as who are the most likely to win the 9th region championship. Of the last 8 titles 6 of them were won by the 3 mentioned earlier, pretty could probability that the trend will continue.

INDAZONE Who is the power forward? IBALL is the one you are not telling us about from Southwestern high school?

1 regional title from the largest all girl private school outside of Louisville! So I do not know that she has accomplished all that much. Fookes, Hill, and McDonald in that order. Stamm has turned the program around but lets see how he does with this years group minus Wooford.

Do I smell a AAU connection? Possibly with her AAU coach? Who does not coach at Conner, by the way.

Cootyb25, I was just stating that there were two sides to the situation last year. I second your statement about having to stay focused and to play as a team. If they do that, they will be strong, very strong.:thumb:

180 degrees apart exactly. Especially after reading your take on the relationship between the players. I think it was just the opposite the attention for that team was on the Soph's and Junior's.

No where. He was at the scrimmages earlier last week.

NDA has 6-7 players and none of them are post players.

Pre-season should be Boone, Highlands, NewCath, Holmes and flip a coin between Conner and NDA. Boone will have something to prove this year. This years team will have a lot less in fighting between the players, i.e. upperclassmen vs. underclassmen.

I think that Senior to be will return.

I have not posted about the girls program lately because some of the parents thought that I was to boastfull with my feelings to the Boone County Lady Rebels.So I respected their wishes, in particular INDAZONE. Congradulations on a great year with such a demanding schedule!! The future is very bright!! New gym all of those road games this past season will be at home this coming season I think, and have heard during the season there was conflict between the Seniors and the rest of the team. The Seniors were worried about getting "theirs" and upset when a Soph. or junior got press or more points. Fookes inability to prevent this in the first place and then not being able to put and end to it was surprising and frustrating. I expected more leadership from her. But having said that, it is not exclusive to this team, it happens on vrtually every team in one form or another and is not necessarily a reflection on the girls as individual people. But this team did not play well down the stretch, at least not up to their talent level. I wonder if this was a major reason for it? One problem I do have is after the game when a coach stands a player up in the locker room and tells the team that this is why we lost and points her finger at that player. This I do not know for a fact because I obviously was not inside the locker room, but that was the "story" when the players came out of the locker room. Classless! If this is indeed what happened!?!

She certainly looked like a total player tonite. Lay off of her she hits the jumper get up on her she drives past you! Almost like picking your poison with her.

To me right now I think that Boone's problem is that nodody but Switzer can get their own shot! Bradley could create her own shot but she is a passer first, nothing wrong with that. Playing against that tough man/matchup zone that SK played, sitting in the passing lanes ,put more pressure on the offense to go more one on one. That is Boone's only weak spot, that I see, and I am sure coach has realized this long before me and is addressing it. That is why she is pushing 500 wins.
