Bikes,cars ect. are privately owned and insured. School districts CAN NOT afford to have liabilities like this on their books. There will be financial ramifications because of this accident.

I'm as big as HHS fan there is but no way was that catch good. The officials were blocked from the view and it was a tough call to make. Goad did a nice job of cradling it after the bounce. HHS scores then and then takes the first drive of the 2nd half and scores to score 14 points before CC even gets the opportunity to have the ball. Do I thnk HHS wins, yes, they have done it all year when it matters the most, but as a fan off football I just want to see the correct calls made.

Don't disagree but I think it's going to come down to the Board Attorney telling the district that it's not an "acceptable riks." I have seen that cannon loaded hundereds of times as you have and I'm just thankful no one was killed. One person who we have overlooked in this terrible accident was the other gentleman who suffered minor burns, lets make sure we keep him and his family in our prayers also.

What's wrong with thinking with our hearts? I don't want this to happen again! Can you guarantee that it won't? Unfortunately the school district will be thinking with their pocket book most likely. But right now it's time to keep the Roller's in our prayers!

Here are two more opinions about the disputed catch. Per C-J Blog: Jody Demling: TD was a bad call. The ball clearly hit the ground on the replay. Highlands gets lucky with that one Jason Frakes: Yep, clearly hit the ground.

I was sitting up top with several HHS fans and we all agreed after seeing several replays that the ball hit the ground.

Labor was fantastic and the kickoff return by Head after CC first touchdown is one for the highlight reel. He would have been a 1200-1400 yard rusher for MANY teams in the state this year.

While Cody is a great kicker a field goal is not guaranteed, especially with the narrower goal post. That play was at least a 5 point play, maybe 8 points if the field goal is missed.

It crossed the goal line after it bounced off the turf. Saw many replays of the play, big time missed call by the stripes.

Stop using a kicking block for XP and FG.

They take the two teams that either winning team could play, put the numbers 2 and 4 and the team that drew to draw first would draw either 2 or 4 and would go on that slot. The other team would get the other number. Same thing for bottom of bracket. Hope that makes sense.

I was told the refs were really really really bad. One guy seemed to just want to give the Harrison Co coach his whistle, or as i was told the one ref looked like a puppet. If that is true i feel bad for the HHS girls.
