  1. Virtually every point and ASSUMPTION being made. Should be fairly clear.
  2. How interesting on one hand the "we pay taxes too" now does not apply but claim an out of state should be allowed if there are no private schools in that particular area. Still, as pointed out, Kentucky is not in the business to provide other state residents features with the taxes we all pay, except the out of state. At least be consistent with positions.
  3. I hold everyone responsible for their actions, how you can misunderstand to read accountable for other actions, that is an issue of thinking you need to work on for yourself. :thumb:
  4. Which is exactly why the proposal for out of state students be reintroduced and passed. Right now, they enter through a very unfair loophole. And such loophole should be closed.
  5. But, nothing should entitle them to experience the benefit of Kentucky athletics. They pay tuition only to a private school. There is no other support for this. If the private school supporters wish to claim "we pay taxes too" and there is some validity to that statement, then to be fair, for those that do not contribute one dime, should not have any benefit at all.
  6. I have family in Iraq and I hold everyone around me accountable, everyday and I support public education. So, I ask you - who are "you people" vs. our people. What right do you have to category anyone to you comfort level. What are you really saying between the lines you write? You ask "how many times are the public schools going to shoot themselves in the head?" I will now ask you to post what prior times has this happened (public schools shoot themselves in the head). It will be very interesting to hear your answers.
  7. Take a deep breath please. This was not out of line and go back and read the posts regarding the judgement quote of the schools coach. It should be clear. To the issues detail, it does not belong here, but if you wish, I will pm you.
  8. Sorry bud, it did not pass the 66% needed to send to the Board of Control. It passed in a majority but not a super majority, which is the KHSAA by laws requirement.
  9. That is fair enough as well as a private school coach making a "hiring" point about another school system.
  10. Just two years ago?! With a teacher?! Are you sure?! Ancient history is not the missing view in front of the school. Ancient history is not still being in a position to pay the legal settlement. Look, the point is simple. Be consistent with the point he was trying to make and be careful to judge other actions vs. your own.
  11. Nice, wide brush you use to paint with. Bet you cover a lot of area with those blanket statements. Public schools need to quit whinning.? Are you able to recall the public schools voted it down last time it was presented? Had it not been for the public schools, the measure would have passed. So, be a little considerate instead of assuming.
  12. I recall when this quote was made. It is a little high handed to say that when, in fact he was and has been in the school administration at NC/NCC when there were some major issues regarding certain priests. So, should the response be, higher more responsible and moral teachers? Fair is fair.
  13. Do not agree with this proposal but I do think the State Residency proposal should be reintroduced. As Covington Superintendent said the private schools families pay taxes and KHSAA is state supported. However, out of state families pay absolutely no taxes and are not entitled to any state benefits.
  14. Yeah, notice who keeps bringing other sports and issues up in a baseball forum and after being told by a moderator a few times. Sounds like a need for some remedial BGP set up for some. These are called forums. Each forum covers a sport. Should not be too hard to follow. Keep digging though. It really helps your position.
  15. All you need are lights on St. Mary's soccer field and your in business.
  16. The ignorance of youth! :ylsuper: Young man, until you understand the extreme difference between testing and results for those with disabilities, those on free/reduced lunch, those from broken and/or distressed homes - an effective 25 to 30% of the public school population for Campbell County (Covington has 85% issues) and how it relates to education, you will be lost in the conversation. You do not have a clue (as trouble shooter stated - clueless) how it relates because these issues are virtually absent from BBHS, save for some on free/reduced program. You measure the school for its success with these students because it does not measure up to you?! Pretty arrogant. Hopefully, later in life you will understand just how lucky and fortunate you are to have the support system outside of the school. At that moment you will understand. CCHS has an exceptional AP program. Your drop out friends would never get near these classes. CCHS has academic tracks to serve the entire community. Some of which BBHS takes advantage of (read: Vocational School). You would be better served to understand the entire matter than shoot from the hip. In that context CCHS is not and has never been a wrong school. BBHS is not a wrong school, but somewhere in your education you failed to understand comprehension to social problems. As for baseball, CCHS is on top until they get beat.
  17. According to the article Mr. Draud wants to have the ability to have his grandchildren attend Kenton County Schools. Let me see if I understand this. He was a superintendent where, lived where and his son went to school where? AND NOW His son lives where, principal where, and wants his kids to go where? Interesting.
  18. Thats a good profile shot too. Jones was always wanting to knock Goetz off his feet when both were at Cov Cath.
