  1. I have suggested thay all former lettermen in attendance be allowed on the field for openning ceremonies, since for all of us it is our first home game. Plus think of the reaction in the stands when future Tigers see Dads, Grandparents, uncles cousins, brothers, etc. on the field and the tradition it brings.
  2. I think a reason the tailgating issue , based on a few years ago, would be cleanup.
  3. I attended the Montgomery Bell game last year at Trinity and thought the atmosphere surrounding the stadium was excellent. Very unique and family-oriented atmosphere.
  4. Participate in 7 on 7, but more importantly increase off season conditioning and lifting.
  5. Think about this and Lexington FB. Has there been any posters fron Lex on the FB threads other than LexCath? Is there any interest in Lex? Except for Basketball, baseball, and soocer, do any Lex teams compete for other sports (Girls VB, Track, CC, Tennis, Golf, Swimming, wrestling, field hockey or lacrosse-they don't even have)?
  6. You will not be allowed under the bleachers for bad weather, as apparently the school will be openned for lightning, etc.
  7. What do you expect from a body that won't spend money to hire investigators because it may show something they don't want to know? Life is easier when they don't have to make decisions or explain actions.
  8. While not taking anything away from Trinity's great run, just look at the titles X won in the 90s, and the RUs in the 00s. Male has been there. We would continue to have all Jefferson County finals if the KHSAA hadn't listenned to whining and caved in. Overall, competition in Jeff is better. I'll take Manual against most Lex schools, and maybe Central, evem though they were 3A. The lex schools are bigger or as big as the Jeff. schools. Maybe if they played some Jeff. schools, instead of worrying about records, they would improve.
  9. My family will miss Manual stadium. My Father in law played there for Manual in the 30s and my sons played there, as did I. We look forward to the new stadium. The other issue besides the lighting was the footing late in the year after heavy rains and games. In fairness to M though, that field was one of the most utilized fields in town.
  10. Great shots! Thanks for the update. If only the school would do the same!
  11. I don't think he ever played any ball. I heard he quit school, transferred to UL, quit again.
  12. That's ridiculous. Its illegal for a receiver who is not forced out of bounds to come back in bounds and become eligible. The video clearly shows the receiver to be out of bounds, the ref made the call, and the TD was overturned. Rules of the game.
  13. Diogenes, it wasn't the receiver's only catch of the year, but it was the first touchdown catch of his career. He was the second leading receiver on the team, FWIW. Just no touchdowns.
  14. Welcome aboard RedX, and to your son!
  15. Hal Mumme, Bill Curry, Bernadette Maddox, Tubby Smith...And I'll football field is named after Him!
  16. Sorry-My first statement should be reversed. There are more from private to public than public to private. My mistake-Thanks for catching it.
  17. The statistics are that more students in Jefferson go from the publics to the privates than from private to public. Manual has more of these "transfers" than X. I want to represent the Catholic family whose children go to Catholic elementary, can't afford Catholic High school, and have to sit out one year, especially if due to job loss, etc. And yes, X and T did request more money for investigators to watch recruiting which the publics and Board rejected.
  18. Anybody who only keeps beer and water in his frig is a keeper!
  19. Since I computer deficient, if someone will tell me how to download digital pix to this website I'll try to get some.
  20. I think you need to use the first 2 years to establish an attitude about winning and an attitude towards the program and its goals. Some schools have to play kids up, so you might not get a true indication how a particular "class" might succeed. Kids quit, some grow, some don't. Too many variables.
  21. Sorry Charlie, but I also think that they've done a very poor job of keeping everyone informed. I visited the website again, and can't find a video or a reference to the new construction, except "construction photo" Singular.
  22. Has to be him. He missed the Olympics in the sprints because of a hamstring, otherwise would have qualified. A great guy, by the way.
