Does the home owner share any responsibility for their dog busting out of the door at a person who just knocked on the door? My dogs go crazy when someone knocks. Why he was there is irrelevant IMO and I feel like legally it's irrelevant as well. If a police officer stops someone for running a red light then has to shoot them for some reason, the reason for the stop is irrelevant. What directly caused the shooting is what's relevant.
