Actually, Boyle is 5-4 vs Corbin all-time with the first meeting in the 1977 playoffs (a Corbin win). Boyle has won 5 of the last 6 meetings. They are heavy teams have met in the state championship game twice- 2017 Boyle won 40-21 and 2022 Boyle won 32-26. The last meeting was an epic game in 2023 in the regional championship at Boyle with Boyle winning 21-14. Been some really good games! On another note, Coach Justin Haddix (after beating Covington Catholic Friday night) now has a ridiculous 77-5 record at Boyle in his 6th year. Overall, he is 167-43 in his 15th season with stints at Perry County Central and Corbin. If he makes the state championship game this year he will have led teams to the championship game in 7 out the last 8 years (2 at Corbin and 5 at Boyle), and has 4 state championships (5 if they were to win it this year). Pretty impressive!!

Those of you that think Boyle lines up and passes the ball 8 out of 10 plays are in for a rude awakening. They are heavy run. This results in some big plays in the passing game due to the defense crowding the line of scrimmage.

Boyle is 9-0 all-time vs Wayne, dating back to the early 1980’s. None of the games have been relatively close. Don’t look for any change to that on Thursday.
