Lincoln County falls to the Warriors. Very bad game for LC. Props to SW for tough defesne, they took Spurlin out of the game. LC trailed most of the night. SW blew it open in the 4th quarter. Neither team had more than a 7 point lead going into the fourth quarter. It was close game through 3. This was LC's 5th game in 7 days, and it really showed. It is hard to prepare for a team as good as SW, a night after playing a battle against Garrard County. The boys exerted a lot of energy last night. This game ended Lincoln's undefeated home record. Spurlin was held under 10 points. SW used a box and 1, and it was really effective. This region is wide open.

6:40 to go in the 4th SW 39 LC 30 SW plays a deliberate, slow pace style of basketball. It is giving LC a lot of trouble.

That game in Lancaster was the worse game LC has played in three years. I give Garrard a lot of credit for that, however I feel like it was the exception instead of the norm. Garrard has the better overall record, and LC had the better region record. Pretty even, IMO.

I didn't realize I had made a wish.:confused: I assume you are referring to a potential 1 vs. 4 matchup with Boyle County. Honestly, that would be better than a 2/3 matchup with Danville.

I would maybe even rank them 1 and 1a, being they split the home and home.

Preston had all 14 1st quarter points, and Spurlin had 20 at the half. Two outstanding performances by these two kids. LC stays undefeated at home, and avenged their most lopsided 12th region defeat in 3 years. The Pats are tough to beat at home. These two could easily meet two more times. Now LC needs to take care of business next Friday and Saturday and get the 1 seed wrapped up.

Junior(s) Watts and Roark.... Not to mention the 20 plus game this year for the whole team.

LC hasn't lost a home game this year, and have only lost five home games in the last three years. They are usually very hard to beat at home. Should be a really good game.

Especially when those juniors have got a lot of clock over the past couple of years. Dixon is a sophomore.

Don't doubt that a bit. Just don't seeing it being one of the biggest crowds ever. Hope I am wrong, and hope LC can give the Lions a decent game this go around.

No... For a few reasons. LC normally draws well. They have had some BIG games there over the past few seasons, standing room only. This game isn't on the schedule, because it's a makeup up game and Garrard doesn't travel well.

After seeing the two teams play, Anderson takes at least 7 in a 10 game series, IMHO. Anderson County is talented inside, and that seems to be the weakness of McCreary County.

With Macon, Danville would win the 12th region. I said that back in the summer.

BC has had the same problem the last couple of years. Guard play. They don't value the basketball. Way to many turnovers.

Yeah, Danville is scrappy. When Taylor is on, they can play with anyone in the region.

They were considered a preseason top five 12th region team, by most accounts, to start the season. They just haven't been able to get it together.

Central seems to have fell apart. Two big losses this week...
