I am finishing up Gomorrah right now on HBO and was planning to give Landman a try next once I saw that Thorton was starting in it. I believe Landman is another creation of Tyler Sheridan who is on a roll lately.

As frustrating as Cal was towards the end of his tenure in Lexington, and I still cannot stand his arrogance, I hope he gets applause from the crowd Saturday night. He took over a program that was a dumpster fire after the Billy Clyde experiment and made it fun and successful for a long time and did A LOT, especially philanthropically, for the state and university. As for the game, I could see it being closer than expected; remember many of Cal's current players were wearing blue and white last year and are not just going to roll over and the current Cats are licking some wounds. I still think the Cats win comfortably but be closer than some predictions.

Does anyone know what type of team Elder is projected to have in 2025? I am sure they will be competitive, as they are always well-coached and have talent, but this could also be a situation where HHS, CCH, and Lou. St. X might think they have a better shot at knocking off the Panthers. The Panthers were 7-5 in 2023 and 6-6 in 2024.

Please see the message below from the Mason County athletic department. Mason County High School in Maysville, KY is searching for a new head football coach. Our former head coach, Joe Wynn, recently accepted the head coaching position at Simon Kenton High School. For the 2025-26 seasons, we will be classified as a 4A football school, assigned to District 5, and aligned with Covington Catholic, Harrison County & Highlands. Historically we have been classified as a 3A school, which has been reassigned to 4A a few times during realignment. We anticipate dropping to 3A at the conclusion of the 2026 season. With our anticipated drop, our football numbers continue to rise with 10% of our boy population K-12 playing football. Our principal is a former college football player and All-American at Georgetown College. Our assistant principal is a longtime assistant football coach of eighteen years. You will be supported and winning is important to us. How our young men perform inside the walls of our high school and in our community is more important. We are looking for our next head coach to continue developing strong relationships with our community and our young men, building upon what Coach Wynn has in place. A flexible teaching schedule will be considered. From a facilities perspective, you would have access to a stand-alone grass practice field, equipped with lights and a scoreboard. We also have a turf game field and we have upgraded our lighting and audio system this past year. Our new middle school has its football practice field separate from the high school and the game field. Our youth league and middle school utilize both the grass practice field and the game field for practices and games. We have two separate locker rooms, one for our varsity and one for freshmen. Our football facility has recently received a facelift. We have a new HVAC system, new weight room equipment, and plans to upgrade and make additions in the future. We have a track below the football facility and a huge hill behind the game field for hill sprints, plyometrics, etc. Our new hire will have full authority on all staffing hires and fires from grades 4-12. We currently offer four periods of in-school weight lifting classes and we currently have the full HUDL package and football fundraising is established and well built. Attached is our certified pay scale for the 24-25 calendar year. We anticipate a 4% raise for the next school year. Never thought I’d see the Birds celebrate a region championship like it was a state title. Times have changed. Hopefully, this trophy leads to the one that really matters.

Point 1: The bolded has literally nothing to do with anything. Except possibly your jealousy, and or insecurity. Point 2: The team you are referencing has high expectations. It is hard to argue against the fact that the OC has struggled; when push comes to shove and it's big game time, he hasn't performed. He has had an abundance of talent and has not delivered after being handed the keys to the sports car.

Aside from his last name, I see zero qualifications that would make him a viable candidate to be the next head coach at HHS.

Things the Bird faithful do not want to hear... Rio is not the answer at QB. Hayden is not the answer at OC.
