Glad Coach Cherico agreed to travel to Pikeville for this one. First class Coach and team. GRC got by Belfry 43-35 at Belfry in the PCB back in August. Wishing the Panthers the best of luck.

Imo, Pikeville dominated the first half of the game, but special team breakdowns and uncharacteristic poor execution of play on the offensive side, and penalties took its toll in the second half. One positive in this game was Belfry had very little success running up the middle on Pikeville's D. Their success came on the edges primarily, with some completed passing. If Pikeville wants to be at Kroger in early December, then some corrections have got to be made.

Pikeville should win this one.

This will be an interesting game, but the Rams will be outmanned in this one. Birds take this one.

I'm thinking Pikeville has a chance if it plays without making those mistakes, and if Brenden Anthony gets several touches. Both he and Blake Caudill can move the ball without a doubt. Add to that If the play calling with the passing game is on par as it should be, Pikeville has a good chance, imo. The defense, while its not where it needs to be just yet, looks better than expected.

anytime these two get together, it always creates a great football atmosphere. Obviously, Belfry comes into this game with a slightly better record than Pikeville for the early season but again, Pikeville has played a very tough schedule up to this point for a Class 1-A team. Will that alone offset other factors that Belfry brings to the table? Being a Pikeville fan I'd like to say yes, but I think it would be doubtful. Pikeville has tons of talent, but imo, its not been reflective on the field up to this point. Belfry is like a refresh of sorts having a potent passing attack that's uncharacteristic of the Belfry we've known for so long. The running attack is very good like Belfry teams of old. To be honest, I think Pikeville looked better in the first half against LCA than against Raceland. The way Hazard is currently playing it should also give a pretty good read on 1-A when they take on Pikeville in a few weeks. They'll provide more competition for the Panthers than we've seen in a few years.

Wow! What a game. Pikeville leaves Raceland with a three point win! Kudos to the Rams for an impressive game. Panthers still need to cut the fundamental mistakes out as Belfry comes to town next week. Congrats on the win!

Bac, I saw a video of last weeks game with LCA, as Brenden Anthony was in street clothes, but in the huddle at times and at post game. He had a boot on his right foot/ankle, but didn't appear to be limping. Maybe favoring that ankle slightly, but as a good sign for Panther fans, no limping. Hoping for a complete healing and being suited up soon!

I really believe the brutal schedule Pikeville has played this season will be telling tonight. Panthers leave Raceland with the W.
