Playing at this point in the year as a senior knowing it could be your last time suiting up in high school and for the vast majority the last time ever, it has to put extra motivation in the back of every kids mind in the class of 2026 across the state to keep their high school career alive for one more game. What it's all about now, giving your all, together, to get to the end all be all, The State Championship at Kroger Field. For the majority of teams when the season started that goal isn't realistic. 24 Teams left now with the realization that all their hard work is about to have a chance to pay off next week. After Friday night 12 teams will have one last shot at everyone's goal when the season started in August. There will be time when the season is over for these teams to reflect on everything that was accomplished during the year. The trials and tribulations that were overcome. The cheers and the teers. Right now, it's not the time for that. Right now, it's time to dig deep. It's time to be the best you that you can be for the brothers you have sacrificed so much for to be successful as a team and to get in this position. Every team still playing at this point has been successful, but now it's time to get to the mountain top. Those weekday mornings, not long after the prior season ended, where they forced themselves up out of bed at 5 AM when they really didn't want to, to make it to a freezing cold 6 AM Jugg Warrior workout. Tonight is why it was worth it. Getting up out of bed 2 hours early before school to go bust their butt in the sticky humid summer morning heat for a 6 AM Jugg Warrior workout, tonight is why it was worth it. The runs down to Lions park in the blistering heat, tonight is why it was worth it. They broke attendance records and in return they broke school records that have been in place since 1995, and some longer. Big correlation there. They didn't do it for themselves, they did it for their team. The seniors, that I briefed on last week, held everyone accountable or none of this would have been possible. Win or lose they will continue to do that. Being accountable in everyday life is ingrained in the Juggernauts now and each class will continue to make sure that they carry that tradition on. Let's be honest, just working hard doesn’t get you this far. You got to have a lot of things go right. You got to do the right things when nobody's watching without getting any recognition. You need good morals at the soul and....you have to have some talent. Just talent doesn't get it done either. That talent needs a certain mentality or attitude at this point in the year. I've said it pretty much all year I know Lloyd has some dawgs but I needed to see it from them consistently. After watching them feast on all their opponents, I need to rephrase that now. I can't just delegate them to a dawg anymore. These animals right here, they're not doing it for themselves. They're doing it for their big brothers in the class of 2026. Their doing it for their brothers in the class of 2025 that gave them a taste of success. They're doing it for the guys in the classes of '23 and '24 who knew they were on the verge of something special. They're doing it for their little brothers in the class of 2029, 2030, and so on. They're doing it for the proud hardworking city of Erlanger that has showed them nothing but the upmost support. They're doing it to make their moms, dads, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandpas and grandmas proud. They're doing it for every Lloyd Memorial alumni to be proud. They're doing it to carry on the legacy of the 65' and 76' Juggernauts that still show up on Friday nights to support them. They're doing it because they love to compete and putting on a Juggernaut uniform gives them the opportunity to do that and boy oh boy do they put something good out there on that field. Colten " Colt " Barger- Alien, I don't think he is from earth but seeing this kid track a ball reminds me of Ken Griffey Jr. tracking a deep fly ball to the wall or a line drive in the gap. Israel " Izzy " Turner- Polished, his movements are ahead of his youthfulness. Shines with confidence no matter the situation or who he is lined up across from. Might suprise you when you least expect it. Energetic, trainable, durable worker, instinctful, tracks it down, hard to shake, agressive when called to be. German Shepherd. This kid has no clue how good he can actually be or what his potential is. He is just doing " it ". Has barely scratched the surface. Certain traits designed for competition and defense. Disruptive and damaging. Mark their territory, clear paths. Move at the pace they want to. Always hungry for more. David Dobbs, Aiden Dolan, Brandon Carter, Trevor Larison, Stone Eickhoff, Evan West, Tyler England. I'm sure I left a few out but these hogs aren't looking for individual recognition. They're looking for their next competition. Measure them how you want to but their biggest attribute is the heart that they go out and show you.

Not gonna lie. Its petty fun to say Beechwood will win State every year. I love it.

I was thinking Championships. Getting to Championships. Contending not pretending. Once your doing that consistently. You get measured a little differently. But yes your completely correct.

Alot lately I have been questioning my opinion of quality. I don't know what it is. I watch probably 15-20 games a week across all levels of football. And still question most of it. What's the actual measuring stick?

I'll correct myself some. 3. Conner in the 4th they showed they could control a game when they needed to.
